Both Walters and Pavlich are injured and most likely are out, unless they pull up really well.

Post your thoughts here.

Huh? Neither Walters or Pav will miss. Both looked absolutely fine after half time. I would make 1 change, DeBoar out, Mzungu in.

Walters at least was subbed out for concussion which means he is extremely likely to miss next week. No info on what happened to Pavlich yet, but he could well have a broken jaw.

No it isn't extremely likely. He was not knocked out, he walked off, he probably only just failed the test and Freo would have just have been cautious about it.

Over the top reaction. Guarantee he will play.

Also, agree that Ballas was pretty poor. Deboar was equally poor after he came on.

Crozier in please, either as a direct replacement for Walters (full match) or to take on elements of De Boer's role (probably as sub).

We need to give important young depth players like Crozier and Sheridan a decent run when these opportunities come up.

We both agree on Ballas but I think deBoer was serviceable.

Guarantee is a bit much. Yeah, it's 50/50 but if he was genuinely concussed he won't play. Guaranteeing he'll play is over the top.

I said it in the gameday thread but if any of our younger players had a game like Ballas they'd get dropped.

For one of our star players his output/effectiveness was well below what is expected.

We need him to start firing so I wouldn't drop him, but Ross needs to give him an almighty rocket up the arse.

Obviously. Which is why people who parrot the "play your way in, play your way out" line are just a bit credulous.

Certain players will always get more leeway because their roles are harder to fill. Ballas plays a specialist position (and has been named All Australian in that position). Same goes for Key Position players and ruckmen.

If you are a midfielder or a "utility" then you are at a much higher chance of being dropped, simply because we have so much depth in that area.

Thought Duffman was our worst on. Sheridan for Duffman, just to set the standard that poor games wont be tolerated.
