Rumour Rumors of cat player in big trouble

We are talking about the optics of somebody accused of something horrific being publicly visible and engaged with a professional sports club. I don't think it matters whether it's a civil or criminal investigation.
I think it does, especially when the main allegation against Fagan is that he 'nodded' during meeting.

That's a bit less serious than what young TB has been accused of.

So by extension that means Fagan stood by and failed to intervene or take appropriate action as players were allegedly separated from partners and demanded abortions.

Anyway, the point about Fagan was only that he maintained his employment while this stuff was happening in the background.

If you have been reading about the TB case you would be aware that police and multiple witnesses - including friends of the accuser - have cast doubt on the accuser's version of events including claims given under oath that the accuser lied about the assault claim. I hope the truth is found and if TB is found guilty he will deserve whatever punishment is given, but even the biggest point-scoring anti-Geelong supporters would agree that based on what has emerged there is serious doubt about whether this will even go to trial.

Well, as he wasn't accused of being involved in any of that, I'm not sure how he was meant to intervene.

Yes, because he wasn't undergoing a criminal investigation, nor was there a suppression order.

I obviously don't know whether he's guilty or not but with Geelong's issues with Smith and Scott both having altercations with female journos/AFL staff, it's probably not a good look for the club to let a bloke on the ground who's currently being investigated for rape.

Innocent until proven guilty.

Having a suppression order doesn’t mean he can’t go about his business.

If he wants to stand on the ground who gives a stuff.

Being out there has no impact on the case at all and doesn’t glorify anything

Big case of move along nothing to see here

Different matter if he had already been found guilty.

Hird wasn't accused of being directly involved in the supplement saga either but he lost his career over it.

I said above that I didn't think it was a good look to have the player on the ground after the match - AFL should have prevented it from occuring. I don't have an issue with the player keeping his employment during the year though, including training with the team, which others above have objected to.

Hird brought in the guys who administered it. He'd have been acutely aware of what they were planning on doing.

Fagan 'nodded' at a meeting. If it was anything more, he'd have been accused of it, which he wasn't.

Fair enough, I can agree with this. I don't think he should lose his employment either, unless found guilty.

What an absolutely ridiculous thing to say.

Assuming you are referencing the 'dumb' comment, and assuming the reporting is correct, then at best he has decided to pay a stranger for group sex in a car, in a car park, at 4am in the morning.

Dumb in anyone's language I would have thought.

Hird didnt lose his career over the peptides scandal. He came back to coach but the bombers sacked him after numerous poor performances

You do realise no one goes to training sessions right? He, like 10-15 players from the list are eligible to walk onto the ground at the end of the game; the AFL can’t stop that as the player and his agent would be able to take action, given he’s a contracted player still.

I’m wondering how you tie your shoelaces at this point.
Eligible perhaps, wise to do so in his situation, no, but here we are.

Yeah but only the sleuths of the rumours board on BF have been able figure it out.
There's an oxymoron if I ever saw one.
Sleuths on BF.

ITT.

bzparkes mighty_lions PenfoldsFan having a 'who can be a bigger muppet' contest.

All waffling on with nonsense.
Innocent until proven guilty, a cornerstone of any great democracy.

Doesn't cease to apply just because it displeases you.

never said he was not innocent (he might well be), got nothing to do with fake finger injury or being on the ground or the suppression order
