If Wellingham wants out, then getting Caddy would be a good replacement.

But otherwise, why on earth would we want to make that deal?? We are giving up a talented premiership midfielder in his peak for a talented kid who hasn't shown much yet.
Wellers has said this week he wants to definatley stay. Only reason I think the club would look at that trade would be to ease pressure on the salary cap while getting a young quality in for basically nothing....

I'd give up Wellingham or Harry O for a Caddy, is going to be an absolute jet

Anyone else hear the rumour of Wellingham to Melbourne for pick 13, then Pick 13 to the GC for Caddy?

I'd probably be OK with that plus we keep our first round pick.
And why would Melbourne want Wellingham instead of Caddy?

They are not close to a premiership or finals football. Logic would suggest that they would want the younger player who would give them more value long term in their re-build.

Same logic applies to Collingwood who is in premiership mode. We don't need another midfielder and with Luke Ball returning from injury next season, Caddy wouldn't even make the best 22. We have a major deficiency in the 2nd ruck/key forward role and if Cloke leaves, we have a huge problem in that Chris Dawes becomes our no 1 forward, a guy that can't mark and can't kick for goal. If Wellingham is traded it will be for a player that fills a team need or a draft pick that gets on traded to fill a team need for next season not for 5 years down the track.

Well Caddy has said he want to Play for Collingwood and not Melbourne.

I would do that Trade for Wellingham for Pick 13 and then Pick 13 for Caddy. Though I doubt Sharrod will Leave

Not commenting on the trade as such, but this idea about drafting young players. Melbourne would be daft to trade in Chapman, but Wellingham is hardly old. They've lost Moloney and while a player like Wellingham is no direct swap in player type, that's an experience gulf.

If shitty clubs obssess about the next new thing and keep recruiting them, they'll not get anywhere. They'll keep ending bottom and keep saying they need to rebuild. It's a machine for perpetuating shitness without end. At some point you have to have some mature bodied and experienced players. No good having the potential top young team of the AFL every year.

I hear from a very good source that the FEV is training down at Collingwood and has been told he needs to lose 30kg if he is to be drafted, thats 10kg under his playing weight that he finished up with the lions. I can alsp tell you he is training very hard!!

When you say training down at Collingwood, do you mean at the Westpac Centre..?

If Fevola was within 500m of our training facilities it would be all over the news..

FFS NOT AGAIN o_O

FEV IS FINISHED IN THE AFL

HE IS POISON

A PARIAH ON EVERY RECRUITERS LIST

How many times does it need to be repeated before people accept he is yesterdays player?

I think he's training at Collingwood Safeway on the roof-top. Hard regimen of chasing shopping trolleys. Strictly speaking, it's the Fitzroy Safeway - on the wrong side of Smith Street.

Yes, at the Westpac Centre!! All i am going to say is that this information has come from one of his fitness trainers he is working with.
