I only got this game last week. Heaps of fun but some of you are overrating it IMO. GTA4 is an all round better game. Much more polished

But Saints Row 2 is more fun. GTA IV is very polished, very good looking but overall I found it nowhere near as fun as Saints Row 2. Saints Row 2 reminded me more of previous GTA games, than GTA IV did.

I never played GTA IV for more than an hour. It got old fast for me.

Strangely enough, even though I think SR2 is fantastic fun, I have played it for around about a 10th of the time that I have GTA IV, I have put in around 100+ hours into GTA IV in both single player and online(First time around the story took me 60 hours!), I'm still finding myself playing GTA IV when I have nothing to do.

As much as I liked SR2, for some reason I haven't been compelled to really go back to it.

But you know what annoys me the most? How Volition was bragging about how their game, Saints Row 2, will have a different trophies list compared to the Xbox 360's achievements.

And it just turns out, there are no trophies. Geez.

Yeah they really ****ed PS3 owners didnt they. First with the resolution compared to 360 and now with the trophies... and when you compare a company like Criterion, who have given so much to the gaming community and how hard they have worked to give fans what they want and then compare them with a studio like Volition or Valve, which have literally gang-r*ped their own fans, it kind of makes you think.

Really disappointing for PS3 owners, I was looking forward to getting the trophy patch. It would be the first platinum I would actually try and get.

How exactly have these two companies gang r*ped their fans? Oh, no trophies, BAAAW. What a huge difference that makes to the game. The achievements don't really add alot. It's just stuff like beating each gang and random ones for car surfing and throwing people a long distance. Nothing to get upset about.

And Valve? Well, the only problem most have had with them recently is the announcement of L4D2 after they promised to provide TF2 like updates. But really, it's just alot of people bitching because they have to pay for another game. They're still a great company and are providing heaps of support for TF2, so they haven't really abandoned their fans. I just wish HL2: ep3 would be released soon.

That's pretty crap IMO. I never saw that "How Volition was bragging about how their game, Saints Row 2, will have a different trophies list compared to the Xbox 360's achievements." But **** me if that's true then that is deplorable not to do anything about it when the trophy system is said to be simple to implement, especially since they have released 2 lots of (grossly expensive) DLC.

I haven't really found myself wanting to go back to Saints Row 2 at all and found myself going back more to GTA IV. As I have said before I have only played Saints Row 2 for about 12-15 hours where as GTA IV would be around about 120+ AT LEAST.

You could argue Volition is just keeping their word - the trophy list is empty, which is quite different to the 360 achievement list.

From what I've heard, yes. Both have been a waste of money and they have sold very poorly.

Pack number three will be free though, although it's only dress ups that you have to buy ingame.

Yeah that really is disappointing. I'm not huge trophy-boi but it still would've been good. It makes you want to play the game more thoroughly a 2nd time around. All games like this should have a trophy system as a bare minimum these days.

Best game I've played in 25 years + of gaming. The only thing that lets it down is no auto targetting, and now this.

Trophies are mandatory on all games now(From 2009 onwards), so this won't happen anymore.
