Spot on. The public TV personality Newman is different to the private citizen newman, however, the two are certainly not mutually exclusive.
His attempt at intellectualism is just a reflection of his education, after all anybody that goes to private grammer school must be more intelligent than someone who doesn't, or so those prejudices go.

Can be very funny, but gets particularily boring when he starts to editorialise with his poorly thought out right wing political cant.

There wouldn't be a problem if Sam's roast was in any way funny. Instead, he used material older than Mesulethe (I know I've spelt that wrong).

From what I saw, only Trevor Marmalade was in any way deserving of a spot on that roast panel. He was funny and paid tribute to Molly.

Even Bert Newton was ordinary.

I thought Sam was a disgrace with what he said about Molly. Ok, they cut some from the tv, but what we did hear was bad enough.

I don't think i've ever seen a tv show that was so deserving of being pulled from the air by Packer than that one..even that funniest home videos crap..whatever it was, that was pulled years ago, must have at least been mildly amusing...this was rubbish...

all the roasters i heard were rude, offensive and downright insulting to one of this country's really professional people...and someone who has broguht a lot of great artists to this country. underneath the hat, there's a brain..As for sam's, well, pull his pants down again Crawf..to find his...
