Lol well if you ask a lot of North supporters, including some who played, it was all Nunans fault.

Fair enough, we have had enough bloody, OK stopping there lets just say I can't say what I want to say about our club without maybe getting this site in trouble.

Bloody hell Richmond won tonight WTF! (No I wasnt looking at the scoreboard at the Parade tonight :o)

Yep fair enough, that is the end of that chapter. Brodie is a top bloke though, bought me a couple beers even !!!

Its the end of the chapter for the night for me, going to bed praying for the hangover gods to be kinder than the footy ones tonight.

The Doggies have had this problem with AFL recruits before with the Power.

Bowen Lockwood and Jacob Surjan... obviously never earned regular league spots with Centrals, the Power had a bitch-fest and the next thing you know they're at the Magpies.

Do get it right.

The Power wanted Lockwood to turn into a CHB. Centrals said they wouldnt play him there and would only play him at FF. Thats why he got moved.

Surj was moved because Centrals broke the agreement put in place between the AFL clubs and the SANFL.

There are always reasons.

So what was Mark Harwood's "reasons" then? You must admit Macca that this has always been an issue more with Port listed players than Crows listed players. From memory we have only had two that have moved, Perrie and Jericho.

Did Clarke move? Or was that the threat when he was playing Ressies?

Port are quite within their rights to move players as they see fit to aid their development.

IMO, we should have moved more players if it means getting them more SANFL senior games. eg. Griffin last year. Meesen this year, etc

We might have won by 15 goals then !!!! I was talking to Brodie Atkinson last week, he played against my team in the Hills league, and is now also a West Assistant and he said on record that Luke Jericho is the most pathetic individual he has ever met. Glowing endorsement there. And if that is true about young Austin well that is terrible, hope the kid gets back soon playing footy around his mates.

And what a fine upstanding citizen young Brodie has proved to be.

Oh yeah forgot about him PC yeah I think you are right there, I was just making the point that yes both clubs are within their rights to move players, but it does seem Port has a lot more trouble with players at SANFL clubs than we do.

Why? Surely it is better for a young player to earn his spot in a higher level SANFL team than to be gifted games at a struggling club? Much better for their development and mindset, it says you need to earn your rights and not be expected to have them given to you.

Sturt fans crack me up. Their bandwagon looks in full swing again. Worse then Eagles/North fans!

Stupid ****ing Norwood played like shit, ruined my birthday weekend ****ers. Oh well I wont remember it anyway my mates decided to help my suffering and lets just say Punchy is a little leg less (HA HA HA HA!) right now! :D:thumbsu:

Those grapes sure are sour  how about a little credit to Sturt? I mean we all know Norwood played their typical wooden spooner style footy last night but credit where it is due. Oh and didn't you laugh when I said we'd win by 8 goals? :) and about Chambers saying he didn't have an impact on the game .... then how shit must Norwood be? :)

Nice selective quoting there by the way if you had read further you would notice my fun banter with Hey Shorty where I said Sturt played a very smart game by denying Vlatko the space he needed. Like your crack about wooden spoon footy being a Sturt fan you would be an expert in the subject unless you only started supporting them since 2002 hmmm. As for Chambers he only came to life in the last quarter when the game was well and truly over. Feast was the one that absolutely killed us all around the ground.

Wow, so anyone who supporters Sturt in 2007 didn't support them prior to 2002? Where'd you pull that one from? Your arse no doubt.

And yeah, Chambers didn't do much at all for the entire night, which is a massive plus for Sturt when we still managed to kick 15 goals and thump a team of hacks by 10 goals. :thumbsu:

My thoughts:

• Sellar as a ruckman >>>> as a forward. This is the biggest concern; he developed and played most of his junior footy as a ruckman. Is he good enough to hold down CHF? 3 possessions in the first term for James.

• Douglas looks classy out there. He has 5 kicks and 6 possessions all up. He kicked a nice goal by sidestepping an opponent.

• Hinge is much more suited to the midfield than defence. He’s letting Clayton run all over him though so he must tighten up. Didn’t have a possession while playing down back but when moved into the midfield he had 3 handballs and his tackling was good.

• Maric was superb. He played the first 20 minutes and had 3 marks, 2 kicks and a handball. His tapwork was brilliant and he’s continuing on the good form he showed after half time last week.

Thoughts to half time:

• Sellar kicked 2 goals in 60 seconds. One an uncontested mark 20 metres out and the other a roving snap goal in the square. 5 possessions, 1 mark and 2 goals to the half. He still looks rather slow and would still be carrying OP.

• Douglas had a quiet second quarter. 9 possessions and a goal all up, and he needs a LEFT FOOT!

• Hinge is on the angry pills and pathetic pills. Having an absolute shocker which is disappointing because I rate him. Has 2 marks, 5 possessions, 2 FA’s and a 25 metre penalty.

• Maric’s ruckwork again was brilliant. Palming it down beautifully to the midfielders and he’s starting to look AFL ready. Has 4 marks and 7 possessions and his tackling has been extremely impressive. Love it when he wrapped up Douglas.

Drummond Sellar NEVER had OP.

He kicked 2 goals in a minute and then in the third quarter just before, was super fast and chased down a defender who was trying to generate some run from defense.

Every time the ball goes near Sellar he looks dangerous and he is an absolute massive unit!

I think Sellar will be on of those players who performs better in AFL than SANFL, just for the fact he will get a lot better ball delivery and more opportunity in the AFL.

Maric dominating the ruck, but Sellar hasn't played there much at all.

Sellar is a gun.

Drummond Sellar NEVER had OP.
Yes, he did. It was never made public but he did have OP.

Sometimes that statement can be true, but you and other people have said it so often it’s lost all meaning. I think every one of our youngsters have had the claim they’ll perform better at AFL than SANFL.

• Sellar 7 possessions, 3 marks, 2.1
• Maric 9 possessions, 4 marks, 15+ hitouts.
• Hinge 9 possessions, 3 marks, 0.1
• Douglas 13 possessions, 1 goal.

How do you know this?

Dude that is the first time I have said that about ANY of our players and I think with Sellar it will be true.

Crows midfield >>>> Glenelg midfield. Make sense?
