Anyone know the story on the old scoreboard. It was heritage listed once so they didn't knock it down when the Doug Walters stand was built but now appears to have gone.

1. Last I heard is that the old score board was going to be incorporated into some form of entrance to the ground.

2. The stand will not be built until the end of 2008. I haven't been to the ground lately but the concoarse area is supposed to be completed by the end of this year (NY test) and the grandstand itself for the next season.

We still have restricted capacity at the SCG for the ALF 2008 season.

Doubt it, they'll only schedule a handful given NRL uses the venue almost twice a weekend.

The Swans have a brilliant record at the SCG and i hope they play as many games there as possible. For example last season (which certainly wasnt the Swans best season in recent years) the Swans played 8 games at the SCG and in total the Swans won 7 of them and the game they lost they only lost by 1 point. Winning 7 games out of 8 is a great record and shows that the Swans really do play well at the SCG.

They did not this season, we have a contract for both stadiums.

That being said, we will get 4 games at Telstra next year due to reaching a average crowd clause in both contracts this year.

The contract stated if we averaged over 55,000 (I think?) in our three games at Telstra than we would get an extra one scheduled the following year.

Who do you think the Swans will play. My bet is West Coast, Collingwood, St Kilda and probably Hawthorn (as the crowd will want to see the Swans smash a opposition atleast once).

Well this year we only won 1 out of 3 games there which isnt a great record.

I would've though they'd make the new stand at the SCG a higher capacity, this is more of a face lift than a drastic change to capacity

Nah the record prior to this year was 13w - 5l, however, the last 10 games at Olympic Park the record was 9w - 1l inc the '06 PF win over Freo and the '04 EF win over WCE.

If the new development drives general admin prices to somewhere between $35 and $45 then apart from when Port is in town I wont be going to the SCG.

For those that live outside Sydney a walk up ticket at the SCG is $29. This however does include public transport from in the North, Newcastle, to in the South, Wollongong, to as far as Goulburn in the West. But if you live about 25 to 30 minutes walk away, the public transport component of the ticket is useless.

How many of you who live in Melbourne would like to pay $29 to get into the MCG or TD if you walk upto the gate to buy a ticket, instead of the $18.50 you paid this year???

prices here are ridiculous ... last year at TS paid $50 to sit behind the goals... @ scg paid $35...
nothing beats MCG.

I also feel that unless you get 60K at the Olympic Stadium, the atmosphere is dull. I'd certainly as a player be more intimidated by the SCG than out there.
