Those sorts of floods used to occur every few decades.

Climate change does seem to lead to more extreme weather events; will major floods occur more often here?

Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s bid to take over the administrative wing of the NSW Liberal Party ahead of the federal election has been dealt a blow, with the Supreme Court ruling in favour of a legal challenge brought by a member of the NSW division’s executive committee.
The decision handed down Friday afternoon does not prevent a federal takeover but will put pressure on party officials to strike a deal to endorse sitting MPs and select candidates quickly in other key seats.

Listening to Morrison presser he had as much hate for China as he did Putin, as if Chinese tanks are rolling down the main streets of Kiev now, and basically saying China is complicit in this due to them not telling Putin to stop (in reality Putin’s motives have nothing to do with China).
