Politicians love people like gc26 who they can feed wrigglenomics to. Simple problems and solutions where there is true complexity. it’s why a rump in the coalition overturned a very sensible NEG. can’t package it up as a wedge against labour and grist for the numpties

It’s up there with cut penalty rates increase employment

Yep guys like Tony Abbott and other conservative wreckers thrive on opposing complex policy discussion.

They know that a simple slogan like axe the tax or stop the boats is a much more effective and easy sell than actually trying to explain policy nuance to the public.

Last week I was up at the Great Barrier Reef. I think that GBR and I are very similar. We’re both unique beauties, it’s impossible to confirm our exact ages and rich old men just keep trying to drill us.

For those asking, I renounced my Singaporean citizenship many years ago.

Section 44 can’t touch me.

Blocking before i say something that gives me a week off.

We all know the only reason he's here.
I advise you do the same - starve it of oxygen
Been a waste of time everywhere for 10 plus years. We have no time for the ignorant clown ####wit on the Geelong forum either.

Banks has a stellar cv as a lawyer.
she wouldn't be no shrinking violet
Kroger was saying earlier that Sukkar denies speaking at all to her during the week.

whatever. C9NewsNow! 6 pm

Banks is a nasty, dumb slag. Hope she got bullied badly. Might have finally got to have known how the unemployed feel.

Update on this: Chris Uhlmann says he has 3 names of people who will be called out for bullying by Banks, and they are just giving those three a chance to respond before going public with their names:

Lol (not for Banks but for the joke of the LNP). This LNP are the gift that keep giving. Sad, unlikable, unethical joke of a party.

Uhlmann decided not to name them (presumably, no reference was made), but instead pointed out that two women have said they felt bullied in the Liberal party (Banks and Linda Reynolds) and another told him the feeling was widespread within the LNP. That matches with what Barnaby Joyce said on Four Corners when saying if you can't handle the dark arts you won't survive Parliament, and how Sarah Henderson said she felt bullied too. And of course Bishop's leaving.

They've been named on twitter fwiw.

As far as I understand we the taxpayers will be kicking in to Hillsong's activities as our taxes go towards Scotty's salary. This goes for all public servants who tithe parts of their taxpayer-funded salaries of course, but here's the lowdown on Hillsong in particular;

I don't think us taxpayers should be funding religious institutions whatsoever. Government in this nation should remain godless irrespective of the personal beliefs of our sitting ministers and senators and other members of parliament and their appointees.

Religions should be treated the same as cults. No special tax breaks. They tried to define what was a religion and what was a cult on Jon Faine yesterday - got very muddled and inconclusive. Basically tried to say "religions were tried and tested" while "cults were made up by man"; well pretty much all religions came about by one person saying "god told me that this is the right way to do things"

then you have things like the daily terrorgraph, with this sort of thing

Except this one (Scomo) used a knife, so not like a cleric at all...
Cleric spell, 5th edition :p
http://dnd5e.wikia.com/wiki/Spiritual_Weapon
You create a floating weapon that lasts for the duration or until you cast this spell again. It can take any form you choose. When you cast the spell, you can make a melee spell attack against a creature within 5 feet of the weapon. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 force damage + your spellcasting ability modifier.

From personal experience I was under the impression most other Christians didn't really like Pentecostals or Hillsong (eg. article below) so I'm not sure how far this spin will get them.
https://pulpitandpen.org/2016/07/05/how-hillsong-and-brian-houston-are-destroying-christianity/
The professing church is filled with charlatans. Men and women who care about fame, fortune, and popularity. This pervasive evil has crept its way into even the most solid of churches, leading people astray, into the darkness of a counterfeit Christianity–one that has a form of godliness, but denies its power. If you want to see true Christianity destroyed, reject Christ’s warnings against fraudulent, lawless men. One such degenerate man is co-founder and CEO of Hillsong Church, Brian Houston.

Houston has single-handedly destroyed Christianity in Australia. He has been relentlessly pushing the idea through his new TBN sponsored television network, The Hillsong Channel, as well as through his books, that he is an extraordinary, God-ordained, faith-filled leader. He really wants you to believe this. So much so, that he’s willing to go to any extreme to silence and destroy anyone who disagrees with him. This is evidenced in how he has handled the investigation by the Royal Commission into his father’s crimes. He has repeatedly lied to them, and they have rejected his testimony. He lied to the media, sidelined his father’s victims and support persons, and maligned the media and critics to stop monitoring him, while he promoted his father as a righteous man in his book. He will publicly lie and twist the truth to deny any accusation made against his self-contained multi-billion dollar religion-industrial complex.

Going off the reputation and behaviour of the Young Liberals it's only going to get worse for them as well
