You asked a question which asked why i should justify voting for morrison based on what stuff he has been doing and done 6 months after an election. You then got told that that is completely irrelevant to why I vote for someone and that all that is relevant is why I voted for him on the day of polling which is when I cast my vote. You then got all offended with the fact I wouldn't give you what you wanted
Ah the art of trying to deflect and even throwing others under the bus...
“I have returned from leave, and I know that has caused some great anxiety in Australia, and Jenny and I acknowledge that,” Mr Morrison said.
“If we had our time over again and the benefit of hindsight, we would have made different decisions.
“I am sure Australians are fair-minded, and understand that when you make a promise to your children, you try and keep it. But as Prime Minister you have other responsibilities, and I accept that, and I accept the criticism and that is why Jenny and I thought it was important that I returned, particularly after the tragedies we saw late last week.
“I get it that people would have been upset to know that I was holidaying with my family while their families were under great stress. They know I will not stand there and hold a hose. I am not a trained firefighter, nor am I an expert like those in the next room doing an amazing job.

Sickening isn't it.The hypocrisy of that putrid far-left rag in all it's glory.
Journalists from the same newspaper have different opinions. Who would have thought? The hypocrisy of that putrid far-left rag in all it's glory.
I'm sure it's been mentioned already. Can't explain why others acted the way that they did. That's for them to answer. I can put forward possible theories however that then will mean that there is no basis to them and they are hypothetical.
Journalists from the same newspaper have different opinions. Who would have thought?
Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work that one out.
You consider any newspaper that is able to publish articles from people with different opinions 'a putrid far-left rag'? What an insight into your mind that is.The hypocrisy of that putrid far-left rag in all it's glory.
According to leftists, all Murdoch publications are the same. You consider any newspaper that is able to publish articles from people with different opinions 'a putrid far-left rag'? What an insight into your mind that is.
The Guardian is one paper. Murdoch owns over 70% of Austrlaian news broadcasters/publishers. Big difference.According to leftists, all Murdoch publications are the same.
But yeah, the Guardian is the worst of the worst.
The question got answered. The fact was that the poster who asked it disliked the answer. You are so like SmoCo. You won’t actually answer a direct question.
You are such a nuff nuff.
Nice rant floor pie,. There is a clear difference between stating my own personal views on something and my personal reasons for my thinking and being able to state why the people referred to acted the way they did with conviction like how I was being asked to.I'm sure it's been mentioned already.
But are you fuggin' kiddin' me?
Most of your posts are about 'the left!!'.
You state who they are, what they do, and why they do it.
This made up all encompassing label for (sometimes ridiculously disparate) people and groups... "The left".
Anyone you disagree with ideologically, you label 'the left' and you state as fact the 'why' behind their actions.
But now... Now you're too noble to talk on behalf of others, or offer theories...
Do you understand what hypocrisy actually is? Because if not, look back at your posts for a clear example of it...
Nice strawmanYou consider any newspaper that is able to publish articles from people with different opinions 'a putrid far-left rag'? What an insight into your mind that is.
ah, you’re just making things up.
It was changed, from Jan
Our leave was brought forward due to the need to cancel our scheduled leave in January because of our official government visit to India and Japan at the invitation of PMs Modi and Abe," Mr Morrison said in a statement issued on Friday morning.
no one cares he had a week with his family.
There’s no protocol to not report the PM is away on a holiday. they tried to hide he went away, if they just said the above, it wouldn’t have been a big deal
combine that with him largely ignoring the fires, comments of “they want to be there”, ignoring fire chiefs, fire fighters asking for WATER to drink while his church being funded $110k for cameras..... and you wonder why he’s getting a hard time.
Work Hardery point is not diminished by the fact that Murdoch owns 70% of all publication. The Guardian is one paper. Murdoch owns over 70% of Austrlaian news broadcasters/publishers. Big difference.
"Yes he is away on holiday, but we can't disclose the location" would have sufficed instead of telling the journalist that they shouldn't believe what they read on twitter. John Howard went on holiday to the same place every year and made no secret of it.Sorry, I'm not sure I understand how a reschedule is related to when the PM originally booked this holiday?.
FYI, the PM's recent holiday trip was actually his third re-schedule, thanks mainly to that Modi clown in India who kept changing his dates for this Raisina Dialgoue get together, which was originally scheduled for early March 2020.
If I was the PM, when Modi called in September with his latest change, I would of told him to GAGF!
If you think there are no security protocols related for the PM's intended travel and/or locations, that's fine. I think some of them are ridiculous too. Please note in most other countries this is commonly known as protecting the head of state and considered a priority for national interests - although it's obvious that some of this thread would prefer our PM had no protection...
Anyhow, I do understand my attempt to add some sort of balance to this discussion does not support the theme of the thread, therefore I'm not welcome on the PM bashing train.
Moreover, I've got no issue for those who choose to support the media chucking a hissy fit like a petulant child because the PMO and others were protecting the PM's security/privacy, which really gave the media no choice but to fabricate and misdirect for the sake of a story/narrative.
I do however encourage some of you to occasionally look past the headlines.
Gee, sometimes posting on this threads such as this is like trying paint a house with a cotton bud! I really should know better.
Have fun!
Here you go lefties, you may praise him now.

You've no grasp on reality, dymmot. The question got answered. The fact was that the poster who asked it disliked the answer.

Nice strawman
It displays a clear hypocrisy in the mindset though. Complaining about ONE publication when 70% of all publications are owned by somebody with transparent biases and vested interests is interesting, to say the least.Work Hardery point is not diminished by the fact that Murdoch owns 70% of all publication.
The "us vs them" mentality of modern politics is so disappointing.
