I am a member of a golf club. They did not cut fees and they operated much leaner than normal. And that is a Melbourne golf club. Sydney were not even closed down for that long.

Some of the grifting from JobKeeper is obscene. And it hard to believe that it was not deliberately set up this way.

Stop and consider this for a moment - Sydney golf club was eligible $2.8m in JobKeeper when they were barely even affected. Australian public universities were not eligible for anything. Australian private universities were eligible.

The rules were you had to have... I'm remembering 30%?... drop in income, and report monthly to get JobKeeper.

How do you have DOUBLE the surplus and still get JobKeeper?

It's one month down by 30% and then free money for 6 months, rinse/repeat another month for 3 addition months of free money and again 3 months later
