To the contrary I was really surprised at the result. I know you can’t take much away from practice games but believe Waverley Blues third tier EFL. Have lost some talent but I like Mordy. Working their backside off as a club and despite being in an area awash with clubs have managed to get U19s up and running this year. Good effort in a tough environment.

On another note - Van Unen huge get for the Dingoes. Their coffers musty be full as he is a north of 1K week player. Have seen him play and while getting on in years will take the P155. Dingley has become a real foreign legion. Credit to them as they have become a real club of choice for players from other leagues.

On another, another note - I know this is a Div 1 page but what's happening at Beena? Have heard they are in all sorts.
Interesting, about Dingley spending money. Don't know how they do it. But they maintain big names and add every year, Hats of to the recruitment panel.

Was a time they were nearly all home grown but they have moved with the times and attracted significant outside talent. Not that long ago they were a basket case and could not win a game in the old Casey-Cardinia league.

I guess they do have the advantage of being the only show in town while other Kingston and Bayside based clubs seen to have a club on every corner. However they run a good show and all credit to them. Will take a good team to beat them again this year and reckon they are the early favs.

Completely agree with you. Every year for 4 years I've chosen Dingoes as my early choice.

Yeah playing list wise not in a good space. Had some instability off field heading into 2020 season.

President was replaced prior to 2020 season - few players departed on the back of that which seemed to trigger a few more.
Women's team was brought back to the SFNL from the higher South Eastern Women's league which resulted in 10 - 12 girls leaving as they wanted to play at a higher level.

In saying all this, Beena had a pretty good squad leading into 2020 but Covid killed that season off.

They will struggle and likely be down bottom of Div 2 but they are a great club and will no doubt get it together in the next few years.

Some handy players from Beena now in Div 1, Eddie Espinosa has joined City with Jordy Pollard. Both can play. Catta (Chris Evans) ex Beena ruckman who was injured for all of 2019 has joined a good friend at Bentleigh. Lawford has joined Doggies (St Paul's). And the old coach Roy is now heading up Districts.

Van Unen is huge get for the Dingoes. They are one of those clubs that will consistently top 3 year in year out.

I believe cheltenham were beaten by 14 goals by Beaumaris. Not sure if the rosellas played their full side. B grade amateur side shouldn’t knock off a team like chelt that easy.

St Pauls lost by around 5 goals to Ormond - C grade ammos club. From all accounts both teams missing plenty of top liners.
Everytime the Ammos come up against non Ammo teams, they seem to towel them up. There is always a caveat...players out etc...Not sure a lot of these clubs are getting value for money..

Mooroolbark 6 goal winners over Dingly

East Brighton 5 goal winners over Highett and Highett reserves lost by 15 goals to a side that didn’t win a game in 2019
