Oh cool. Too many people in the industry doing that "become a personal trainer in 8 weeks at the AIF" bulltish. A lot more to it than that. It's way too easy to become a PT.

Yeh i know. I did do the 8 week course to start off with and found it to be a waste of time. SO than went further and done it all properly through tafe.

I'm athletic but haven't played much football in a team environment. 187cm, 87kg, 7% body fat.
Left back ... in the dressing shed.

I'm intrigued by the comment that you haven't played much football in a team environment. Solo football?? Que??

I figure you must be a very muscular female with a potential amenorrhea problem. :D

I wouldn't give up when the going gets tough and would try and make each contest very physical, because that's what I like doing, roughing people up. I think the only way we can win the flag is if we get people like me playing for them, only downside is I would need to learn how to kick the ball better on the run. I'm only good (not great) at the moment kicking set shots. And all the other footy skills you need, but I'm sure I could obtain them quick.

Think I should try out?

Beau Waters, is that you?

How old are you? And are you playing in the WAFL already?

And more to the point, why would you want to play for the Shockers?

I'm willing to play next year but only if Harves lets me play forward pocket.

A player of my quality deserves to play in the most difficult position on the ground.

To be fair to Memories - he has toned his posting down to an acceptable level ...gets his message across fine now.

Also I enjoy reading his views ...lets not let this start another battle here.

my god, i cant believe i bothered debating with this....erm...child? last night....eeesh, thanks for the bump, i lol'd

Yeah I decided not to bother with trying out with the dockers, so I'm not sure chops when they are on. Are you thinking of trying out or?

After doing some more research and talking to a few AFL/WAFL players I decided that the injuries they sustain isn't really a path I want to go down. I'm now also 91kg dry (without glycogen) and 94kg normally .... which is too big for my height in regards to agility needed and longevity of my joints with running large amounts. Can't see myself wanting to downsize at this stage.

It's a shame though, I think I could have done something good for the dockers if I really applied myself to getting the footy skills.
