It’s pure guesswork which allows for dubious interpretations. Honestly need a GPS on the players and the umpire gets an automatic notification if it’s 15M. Give it another 50 years until that’s introduced.

Or just get rid of the bounce… no one watches football to see players bounce it but I will absolutely watch a player put the jets on and carry the ball as far as he possibly can before he gets tackled. Slightly more exciting than stopping play because a player ran 20m with it.
