Roo was very good but i would have given it to Marty, it was pretty hard to pick though.
Primus, Francou, Tredrea, did stuff all and were well held.

Hard to believe Torney just stepped right in and dominated.

He was definetly in my best 3 but I thought Torney was simply sensational today. Torney was my pick and I am a bit disappointed he didn't get it.

He was very good - especially having a cracked vertabrae you could be excused for "dipping" out of some hard contests, but he launched himself at a few that really showed not just his courage but committment to the team.

I put him on a par with Tourney - but thought Mattner for just 4 qtrs of gut busting running was superb.

We also underestimate Hudson - our small blokes were able to position themselves near Hudson today knowing he was going to either create a contest, push the ball our way or dish off the handball -

IMO there were 4 that could have got the medal - Roo, Mattner, Torney and McGregor.

All outstanding games in their own right for different reasons.

I settled on Roo because it was blatantly obvious that apart from all the good things that he did, the only time Port could make any impact on the game was when he was off the ground having a breather.

But I wouldn't challenge the selection of any of the other 3.

One of, if not the best game Torney has played for the club. Marty M was fantastic too. Half a dozen different guys could have won the medal and I would have been pretty happy.

I gave my vote to Mattner. I thought his chasing, tackling, running with the ball and composed delivery were outstanding today. Hopefully he can continue to provide this run from his wing for the rest of the year.

Also special mention to Huddo. The big man took all the Power ruckmen on and gave them a bath. rub a dub-dub 3 ruck men in a tub. The crows just seemed to have more of the ball when Huddo was on the ground and unfortunatly when Biglands came on we seemed to loose a little of attack and presence around the ball. I hope that biglands gets his touch back soon after an interupted pre-season.
