well i think reid, cox and Cook will be those chopped this week.

We are basically full strength, i can only see Wood coming in for Bryan before the end of the season, maybe a fit and firing presti for wakelin and goldsack for johnson. Otherwise that is the best we can get our team.

And bryan johnno and wakes arnt doing anything wrong at the moment

Looks like by naming Reid they're still sweating on Rocca but want to give him every possible chance. If Rocca plays, Reid won't, if he doesn't Reid will..

Bench from Nick Maxwell, Shannon Cox, Sharrod Wellingham, Ben Johnson, Ryan Cook, Chris Bryan.

Chris Bryan and Sharrod will stay in guaranteed unless injured and I think Max will come out as the Dees have a useless forward line and he has been in poor form. Therefore 2 of Cox, Cook and Johnson wil play. I think Cox will get another week and although personally I'd play Cook (he's looked decent in the games he's played and Johnno has been shocking although a bit better last week) I think MM wil stay with Johnno.

So Max, Cook, Rocca(inj)/Reid out.

Umpires:
Vozzo, Farmer, Meredith

Great we have Vozzo The Clown:mad:

With Robbo out there is no excuse for a performance like last year. Should come out with a good win and a team full of confidence to destroy the blues next week.

Not very familiar with the Melbourne players, but am I right in saying that they have only the 1 ruckman named in their squad: Jeff White? Wouldn't he need a rest every so often?

Paul Johnson is their back-up ruckman. Named in the forward pocket

Almost exactly my thinking - except I'd say at this stage, naming Maxwell on the bench is a first warning, that seems to be the way it has been going this year, especially with his much-touted leadership qualities. Johnno has been named on the bench about 5 times so may be quite likely to be dropped instead, although he does add something to the team but isn't anywhere near his top form and not nearly as effective as Wello right now. Always good to see new players like Cook given another chance, for our ongoing development.

We would have won QB last year if not for Harry dislocating his shoulder in the first 10 mins, we beat them for the next three quarters and only lost by 9 points.

In the return game we belted them, then Melbourne added some respectability in junk time/post-Daniel-Bell incident.

We should win this match comfortably on current form, I wouldn't even consider it a danger game, TBH.

On QB's last year they out ran us and outscored us in the last quarter

In the return game how is the 3rd qtr junk time? We were lucky

I can’t see both Rocca and Reid playing. The latter would be insurance for the former. If Leon is fit, Cox and Cook would be the most likely deletions so it’s really Rocca or Reid for Cox which is as expected.

We need to keep our intensity up and continue this momentum. If we do that we will win by 15 goals.

As stated elsewhere Leon hasn't trained all week
If it wasn't his 150th I'd like to see him rested.

Rocca is easily in our best 22, so he is an automatic in.
Like to see Reid come in and play on a wing. Rest Wakes

At least we dont have "Razor" Ray Chamberlain or McLaren!!!:D
Mc-anything umpire.

____ me do those guys hate us.

Vozzo is an idiot but he tends to be an idiot both ways, so i can deal with that

Agree they wont play together, but i hope Rocca does play one before Carlton. 15gls for me too if intensity remains.

I don't care if we win by 1 point or 200 points, so long as we win.
If Melbourne get up with the team they have to put on the park I will congratulate them thoroughly.
Th most important thing is we win.
If we win on Monday it puts us in the same position as last season regarding Win/Loss, 7 Wins 4 Losses.
The difference is we have a much better percentage and are, at this moment, playing better football.

After this round last season we had:
(wins *) (teams we play after Rnd 11 this year in this list red)
Sydney*
Hawthorn
St Kilda*
Geelong
Essendon*
Brisbane
Carlton
Richmond
Melbourne*
Sydney*
Adelaide
We only won another 5 Games after round 11 for 13wins / 9Losses.

The Ladder Round 11 2007.
1 Geelong 11 8 0 3 2 West Coast 11 8 0 3 3 Hawthorn 11 7 0 4 4 Essendon 11 7 0 4 5 Collingwood 11 7 0 4 6 North Melbourne 11 7 0 4 7 Sydney 11 6 0 5 8 Adelaide 11 6 0 5 9 Western Bulldogs 11 6 0 5 10 Port Adelaide 11 6 0 5 11 Fremantle 11 5 0 6 12 Brisbane Lions 11 4 1 6 13 Carlton 11 4 0 7 14 St Kilda 11 4 0 7 15 Melbourne 11 2 0 9 16 Richmond 11 0 1 10
This year, if we win, we have:

Carlton WesternBulldogs Sydney Adelaide Kangaroos Essendon Hawthorn St. Kilda Port Adelaide Sydney Fremantle

The ladder after Round 10 this year.

1 Geelong 11 10 0 1 2 Hawthorn 10 9 0 1 3 Western Bulldogs 10 8 1 1 4 Adelaide 10 7 0 3 5 Sydney 10 6 1 3 6 Collingwood 10 6 0 4 7 Brisbane Lions 10 6 0 4 8 North Melbourne 11 5 1 5 9 St Kilda 10 5 0 5 10 Port Adelaide 10 4 0 6 11 Carlton 10 4 0 6 12 Richmond 10 3 1 6 13 West Coast 10 2 0 8 14 Essendon 10 2 0 8 15 Fremantle 10 1 0 9 16 Melbourne 10 1 0 9

The big improvers Western Bulldogs and Brisbane.
The big outs West Coast and Essendon.

We win and we have a realistic run home with better form.

I am getting Optimistic.
But we have to win.
