The sequel to the best game on Wii U.

Coming Winter 2017.

Global testing announced March 24th - 26th. Similar to what they did with the first game, there'll be 6 blocks of 1 hour sessions to test out the multiplayer. Early reports indicate it'll be the content that has been available at all the Switch events.

I'll chuck the info in the Switch thread as well.

Forgot about this thread.

Played 30 minutes of the test fire just now. Connections were rock solid, as they were in the first game.

Stuck with the Splattershot for the session, tonights hour I'll test out the dualies. Was worried about the new specials but they seem very balanced.

Gyro controls are amazing with the pro controller. Will try out all the different playstyles, split joycons for the next session.

Absolutely no complaints at the moment.

Pro controller is by far the best controller method.

Handheld mode comes in 2nd and will be handy for when i play in bed.

Split joy cons just didnt feel right at all. Will give it a few more goes as it's the most comfortable way to play Zelda so i want it to work well on this too.

Joy cons in the joy con grip are just awful. That attachment will be collecting dust come retail release.

Can not wait.

Internet is hating on Pearl, but I think she'll appeal to some people in the same way as Yolandi from Die Antwoord. Marina is a far better design, though.
Funny that there is more talk about one NPC than the actual game itself haha

Would you say they are ambivalent?

I did say that didn't I?

Like a lot of Nintendo fans froth over everything that they do. The original Splatoon was the freshest Nintendo game I had played in about a decade.

Yet you barely see them talking about it. The game is going to be massive in Japan, it sold a shit load on Wii U (4 million+ from a sub 14 mill install base) so given that the Switch seems poised to eclipse the Wii U sales.

The next month is pretty barren for releases on all consoles so hopefully it gets its time in the sun.

Demo client is available on the eshop. Lets you create a character and walk around the hub world. You can also choose your side for next Sundays splatfest which runs from 8am-12.

I agree with Sledge, people slept on the original Splatoon which was by far the Wii Us best game and arguably one of the best new ips of this gen.

I would like more aussies to play against this time around so hopefully it sells well.

Got the game, 3 amiibo and joy cons pre ordered. Considering the Splatoon 2 Pro controller as well.
