This game launched at the perfect time for those with a Switch.

The last month or so has been the quiet period for new releases across all consoles, but this game keeps an incredible gaming year's momentum going.

First time I've been seriously tempted by the Switch.

Anyone up for creating a bit of a BF group for the more serious modes? Relying on randoms is inconsistent at best.

I played a lot of the first Splatoon and loved it so much, very happy with the sequel and really enjoy it separates rank depending on mode now.

I'd also be up for friend requests etc to form squads. At the moment I'm A- on Splat Zones, B something on tower and C on rainmaker. However that's more because whenever I get to play it seems to be splat zones etc. First Splatoon on Wii-U I was S and close to S+ on sniper and Gal .52 Deco weapons.

Also keen to try league.

No, any range weapon will dispose of them and won't allow them to roll as they please by trapping them or flat out splat. It's all about awareness though, a good roller would flank or from behind

Appear stronger if you play turf war then some ranked modes.

Finally started turf war today after doing enough of the single player that I was comfortable to start the multi and after a shaky start I was addicted and started to beat much better players with much better weapons.

Havnt tried Salmon run yet but I'm sure I'll dig it

Would've had them today had aus post not tried to deliver before 8am on a Saturday, no ones up that early on a weekend.

The feels when you check Splatnet at work and catch the exact item you need with 2 minutes left to order....

Nothing more annoying in this game than being put on a team with people who are only interested in killing the opposition and not covering the area and actually winning the match.

It allows me to get a huge individual score but you miss out on the 1000 point bonus.

Agree. Even more annoying if I'm burning a 50% extra xp ticket too.

I've found the Aerospray MG the most efficient for paint coverage so far, multiple 2400+ games with those. Splattershot jnr probably has the best balance between a paint or a kill play style but more suited for when im not in an all jap lobby... which isnt very often lately.

I use the Aerospray as well. Good all round weapon with decent sub and special attacks.

Finished the campaign then went back and replayed the levels i didnt get to use the hero shot in so i could unlock it in multiplayer.

Only need 3 collectibles in the campaign as well, not sure if it unlocks anything.

Aim is to get all the hero weapons unlocked in multi, quite a few campaign playthroughs required.

Aerospray is very strong atm, at least at the level I'm at it's the best.

I'm personally switching around with the NES Zapper and Splattershot, haven't quite found my niche yet.

So the Splatfest has started, finishes 2pm tomorrow.

Had a decent run at it but the only problem is team ketchup have a lot more members than mayo so it takes a lot longer to find a match and a lot of the time it just ends up as ketchup vs ketchup.

I wish it showed everyones points. Went on a massive losing streak, consistently top scoring with around 1200p. I just want to know what the hell people do to achieve only 1 kill and finish bottom of the board.

Playing more of the opposing side this Splatfest. Like how the colors changed to ketchup and mayo ink. Not sure white ink is the best idea though...

I just picked up a Switch recently and started playing this.

Underrated game. Salmon Run is awesome, although it is kind of lame that you have to work to the schedule if you don't have a party of your own. I guess making it an 'event' makes the time playing it feel a little more precious though. Love how easy it is to have a quick session compared to every other wave defence mode in other games.
