Good consistent and disciplined effort by the Sri Lankan bowlers. Looked like they'd be up against it on this pitch, but have got things nicely under control. Similar discipline shown by Hales and Bairstow though so whilst Sri Lanka won the day England will rightfully feel that they aren't too far behind.

BBC weather for Leeds looks a little more promising. Hopefully they won't lose too much time until late in the evenings.

Englands test record at Headingley lately has been bad. Thats why I was glad there was no Ashes test here..
only won 1 of the last 7 tests and lost 5 .

If you look through the historical record, AUS do well at this venue. In fact so do most other teams..
Poor venue for England. Apart from that crazy Botham test where some AUS players bet on themselves to lose at massive odds .
