This year he seems to bang the ball on his foot in a rushed kicking style even when the pressure is just perceived. It's almost like he needs to caress the ball more, not just blindly smacking it onto his foot.

ummm what?
lets have a look at the best and fairest count after 15 rounds, and revisit this quote.
Ran like he may have had OP in the back half of the year, the off season has come at the right time for steele, Daisy, Wellingham, Dawes and a fair few others.
Was taking the piss... as if you would delist. Bucks does need to take him through some kicking drills though!

He's very creative - the execution is just what is lacking ATM

Oh
Johnson and overrated Dale Thomas were big reasons for the loss.
Look a Richmond supporter talking about finals ..... wonders never cease. When your team plays in 7 0f the last 10 preliminary finals feel free to come on our board and enlighten us all on the vagaries of modern football. After all it is quite different from when your team last won a premiership ..... oh was that 32 years ago now???

Shouldn't you be back on the "Membership total" board?
It's the only time you guys think you count. Finals are for fools apparently.

C'mon give me 2013 Tigers members update!

I still remember him as one of our top 2 or 3 in both 2010 GFs
He's had a bad season but a longer break and a better pre-season should make him one of our improvers. It was only 12 mths ago that some were questioning Dayne B

Yeah he shanked a few tonight, who didn't? I think he has already shown that he has a magnificent boot and can weight the ball better than anyone in our side bar Didak or Clarke.
Brilliant football brain, tackle machine, endurance to burn. Will be one of the major cogs of the next version of our midfield :thumbsu:

He was pulled out of the GWS I had my suspicions then that he was injured... Thoughts on that? One of 3 players to miss that game..

I think the interesting thing is Steele's problem the last fortnight has been that he has panicked under pressure, which is extremely uncharacteristic of him. If anything, in general, one of his key strengths has been his composure and decision making. Happy to forgive him a tough finals series. I'm not the hugest fan of his style of player but he is (and is going to get better) very good at what he does... Reads the play well, runs hard all day and will get back to making good decisions with the ball.

He was terrible tonight. If there was a nicer way than that to describe it I would.
Maybe something like, he played as well as Ben Johnson did :thumbsu:

No excuses, but I do think the season really caught up with us and Sidey. Came out hard early in the season and probably fatigue played a part, he'll be better for it as I dont think he's the type to carry around the scars like Leon did.

Had a much bigger load to carry this year and while starting very well, it may have worn him down. Sidey has proven to be a very good finals performer. Maybe more to it then meets the eye.
