07AUG23: Swans Daily Media
Swans talk starts 15min45sec ino the video - mind you the first 15mins of a 22mins podcast was all about the Magpies and the Blues.:rolleyesv1: If the Pies & Blues are in the the 8 and playing finals we can expect this to continue

Errol grabbing any Swans media mentions <such as it is> after the weekend - its clear from the media mentions the scribes have found their new favourite talking point.

The Swans lost one swashbuckling left-footer during the week but they’ve already found a replacement for Buddy’s swagger. We’ve spoken all year about Errol Gulden’s game. He’s a lock for All-Australian on a wing but he’s more than that. On Saturday night he got the one-two on the half-forward flank and strolled towards goal. He had options. He probably should have centred it, but sometimes players get that licence, or better still earn that licence. Buddy obviously had it, Papley’s got a licence too, and Gulden showed he’s got a love for showmanship and for theatre. If he missed the goal he would have been castigated but, just like his mate Bud did for so long, he delivered. He had 32 disposals, kicked two goals and won the Brett Kirk medal, and we suspect it might not be the only medal he wins before his career is over. One query though, why do the opposition clubs allow the best left-footer to have 30-plus? Gulden ripped Essendon last week and then the Giants on Sunday night and he needs far more attention from the opposition than what he’s getting. Surely, taggers need to be reintroduced.

I'm sick of sitting through all these shithouse shows just to hear them devote about 30 seconds to our team. It's been the same all year.

I usually don't mind 'first crack' because they actually go in depth with tactics rather than just reeling off a couple of well known players names, but even they've been terrible this season.

Bloody good piece of coaching well executed though!
Call me crazy but Sam Taylor won't be the first defender to fall victim to The Hydra in our forward line. All three of them are just so different and bring different things to the table that you really need a defender suited to each of what they bring - McLean contested strength, Amartey closing speed, McDonald gut running. Most defences will possibly be able to cover one or two of them, but all three? TBD...

If McLean leaves (something I do not want by any means, I'm actively hoping he re-signs ASAP), would you accept Buller as an adequate replacement for his spot in the fabled trio?

First Crack

Holy f..k me dead

The worst take.

D..kheads
That was ridiculous. Montagna talking about how Richmond heading in the right direction, and King pretty much saying look out next time we play them.
Same I was really keen for it but once it got pushed back to one of the last 3rd to be talked about I knew it would be short but I didn't realise it would actually just be pathetic

From April 17th.

Swans discussion starts 14:03.

Matthew Lloyd says he loves John Longmire because Swans are always competitive.

Discussion about forward line, amazement that we are half game out of the eight. That's it.

I still don't understand why people continually tune in to this shit, and are continually disappointed/upset.

If you want a decent analysis + toastie talk just read bigfooty.

Watching on the couch now. They've spent 10 minutes on Daicos, 10 minutes on Collingwood, 10 on Essendon, 10 on Carlton. Started fast forwarding through to see if I could pinpoint the 32 seconds they'll dedicate to Sydney but couldn't find it so I'm giving up. I'm sure there's some ripping insights though.

Edit: Okay went back and found it. 21 minutes in if anyone cares

We should have a dedicated thread for On the Couch and AFL 360, where we just post the minute mark where the swans are mentioned. It would be a real time saver. 👍🏻 I for one really appreciate the contributions people make because God knows I can't stand this stupid Daicos wankfest.

If I can endure any more Collingwood or Daicos circle jerks I'll do my part and take one for the team.

I am sick of hearing about Collingwood and I'd like to see us get some more attention that doesn't revolve around just Gulden, but I think it's valid this week. First place on the ladder having back-to-back losses (including one to 16th on the ladder), losing their best player for six weeks, and that player also being a Brownlow favourite is big news no matter who the club is.

Not to mention they have by far the highest active membership.
