With Wakes surely coming in to replace Presti who will miss out once Burnsy steps in?

Cook was good, Dawesy and Anthonuy kicked 3 each. Who will miss?

I personally think Shaw should go, does not respond well to pressure. Probably cost us 2 or 3 goals all up with his decision making and disposal.

Wakelin to come in if Presti is injured.

And if Burns is fit, he probably comes in for Cook. Although Lockyer must surely be under some pressure to hold his spot too, given his form in the second half of the year. Did nothing again today.

We'll see how Presti's shoulder pulls up it looked pretty bad there during some stages.

Rhyce's acceleration out of stoppages was handy, however it's the same old story with his disposal....some clumsy free kicks at the start of the match were also dissapointing.

I thought Cook's use of the ball was pretty terrible, capped off by the miss from 15 out directly in front....not sure if he should be retained in the side.

Cox did some good things, McCarthy was ok.

Wakes for Presti is the obvious one if Presti has a serious shoulder problem.

Just heard on MMM that Burns was out on AAMI with the fitness coach after the game. You would think he is going to be every chance to come in this week. Probably for Cook or R. Shaw.

Shaw was useless. He isn't actually a good player, his best is handy to us, his average performance is very detrimental.

In: Wakelin, Burns (if fit)
Out: Presti, Shaw

I'd drop Cook before Shaw. We're going to need some experience in the side if we can get it. Having said that, after a few shocking kicks from Cook, I could see some upside to retaining him and developing his confidence.

cook overall did alright for me, shaw really pissed me off multiple times in the first half, did alright in the second though.

Presti is gone, wakes is in: tht has to be a given

btw, wht about rocca? what are people;s thoughts on him if he is fit (which i dont know if he is or not)

At half time I wanted someone to take Rhyce off the ground straight to the airport and buy him a one way ticket to Brisbane. His second half was fantastic... he holds his spot IMO.

Burns must come in if fit.
Wakelin must come in if fit.
Presti must stay if fit.

I really dont know who should make way until I watch the game again, but Cook may be in trouble. If Presti can play, I still think Wakes must play, especially considering who our opponents could be (either Saints or Cats).

I have the same the question as One Eye Pie.
Is Rocca a chance? Can anyone provide an update and I also agree with Thommo's changes.

In: Wood Wakes Burns

Out: Bryan Presti R Shaw

Saw Pebs today walking off with the boys after the game. He had a very slight limp, sure i might of emagined it but i think he was still limping. Please god he plays

Cook was fantastic today would be very harsh to drop him.

Presti would be pretty unlikely to play imo, Wakes in.

If Burns is fit, Cook is probably going to be very stiff. I thought he had a pretty decent game, minus a few poor disposals.

In: Wood Wakes Burns

Out: Bryan Presti R Shaw

totally agree i thought presti even though was injured in the wing still couldnt chase or spoil wakes must come in
Bryan to me seems lost at times with his decsion making and that attempted punch in the centre square was just shitful Wood in for him his tap work will help but he needs to grow some balls this will help
Shaw even though i think he should stay in for his run and drive i think today he made too many turnovers which cost us goals so for mind its him or cook nothing against cook he played well but burns needs to come in so its a toss up between shaw and cook
and people keep calling for heater and dids its over guys it wont happen the leadership group suspended them they wont overturn it now and 6 weeks without competitive footy wont help our cause
the smokey may be ben johnson to come in just for his experience but i think the boys are handling the pressure well great job boys keep it up

bryan was terrible today
a couple of times he was 10m away from an active contest and he was just walking...those conditions today demanded that he not play, he was killed every where today against a very poor ruck duo. if its going to bucket down then bryan over wood
bryan out wood in (conditions permitting)

i cant really see presti getting up for next week, eventhough he was playing with one wing he did quite well and showed the spirit we have lacked some times this year
presti out wakes in

burns obviously comes in if fit, but i wouldnt like either of cook or mccarthy to be dropped. mccarthy was good and cook wasnt bad, if cook gets dropped he might lose confidence after his nervy poster in the last quarter...and lets be honest this finals series is more about experience for these younger guys then squeezing them out.
burns in shaw out

lockyer has been quite good, i look at last year as a freak year for him, in a change of roles, he now usually plays down back again and i do prefer him to be there then in the middle cause between him and clarke they make the right decisions which is wat u want coming out of ur backline.

dawes has to play, was very good at providing a contest when he wasnt able to mark it. i wouldnt bring rocca in even if fit with little match practice over this kid

cant really think of any other changes
but horses for courses (im assuming the course will be teh saints but funnier things have happened)

In: Wakelin, Burns (if fit)
Out: Presti, Shaw

agree with that , we cant take presti in not 100 percent with that shoulder.

shaw was shockign today, cook was better than him. leave cook in. cook wasnt that bad today , apart from that shot on goal.

just side note , not that it means much . but im excited about it

1st year players
McCarthy, Dawes , Brown and Anthony

2nd year players
Cook, Goldsack , Cox , Clarke

3rd year players
Pendlebury and Thomas

im basing those on terms of debut, i know anthony was taken same draft as thomas etc

just exciting to see nearly half of the team are third year players or less since their debut , then you throw in the likes of cloke and harry as fourth year players. you cant discount experience and im not saying we should clean out the older guys asap, but for kids to stand up in finals is showing the future is looking good

Those calling for Cook to be dropped need to take another hard look at today's game. Although his decision-making at times can be disappointing, he knows how to find the footy and can execute (sometimes). Nowhere near our worst to be dropped.

Out: Shaw, Presti (If injuried), Bryan (Depends on St rucks)
In: Burns, Wakes (If Presti is injuried), Wood (Depends on St rucks)

I personally think Shaw has one more credit to his name, but Burns has to come in, and theres no-one else that deserves to be dropped for him. The closest I can think of would be Goldsack or Cox as a horses for courses swap for Burns, and even they don't deserve the chop.

Continuation (sp?) from my previous post, which I've edited about 3 times for various reasons....

Realistically, the only change this week will be:

IN: Burns
OUT: Shaw

Have to agree with you on R.Shaw. Ordinary first half, excellent second.
I would play him again next week as he provides a lot of run when he is on.
He would have probably been a bit nervous, being a final and after his legendary no show once previously, but hopefully he has got over hat demon.
