This bloke will really boost the Demons skill level:(

Confirmed?

I can see Melbourne having a look at him.

The problem for him is given their probable taking of either McDonald or Thorp, I can't see him going through the PSD, and I assume they're passing pick 54 for the PSD, so I can't see how he'll fit in to be drafted.

But hey, hope I'm wrong and all the best to him.

We will be using our pick in the 50's because we delisted Newton and Meeson.

Is Tenace really that bad?
The Dees could use a bit of pace, but if he's a clanger king I'm not interested. We have enough of them at the club!

I hope he gets another chance.

He didn't meet expectations at our club but that's no reason to continually attack the bloke and wish him ill will.

Thought he did ok for us in the game or two he played in the seniors this year (the 'comeback' game against Hawthorn comes to mind).

Gets lots of possessions in the VFL, but he is an outside player with bad foot skills.

He certainly has speed, but rarely used it to any advantage.

I think the only chance he will get is if Melbourne think they can turn him into a 'run-with' player.

Hope he gets picked up and improves. I think he is low in confidence - he knew he wasnt anywhere near the best 22 even if he was playing.

So strange though because in h is first two years I thought he was going to be a gun.

More turnovers than a Bakery Powelly. But as mentioned with a bit of confidence he might get his mojo working.

REB

well worth another shot at another club. Would love the open space of the G comming off the wing or a back flank. Just struggled to break into a great midfield, no real concerns with that. Could slot into the dees side and go alright. Isn't as bad as people make out it's just the couple of errors stick out when you're looking for it. Refer Shannon Byrnes every year before 2009. Drop, trade, delist........2 time premiership player that won a couple of games for us this year.

his helicopters and hospital handpasses will be missed

Buuuuuut seriously, all the best to him and hopefully he can get a few more seasons with another club. Kind of feel sorry for him over the last few years, he's had bugger-all to do with any of the success we've had and that must sit very uncomfortably with him.

Always trained well, every year he was mentioned as one of the guys who had a big preseason and was "training the house down".

Kicking was "suspect"

could have gone to dees instead of moloney-they were keen. reminds me of what happened to d clarke jnr.- great speed and promise but extreme lack of confidence at geelong and now a chance at a team where he cou;ld really make it as a quick run- with player. hope he makes it. i always wanted davenport to stay with us and pretty sure he will make it.

that's true, but if that had been the case, we'd still have had Moloney playing 40-odd games in the last 5 seasons, since he wouldn't have fared any better on our list than Tenace IMO. not especially quick, prone to just throwing the ball on the boot with no real ability to hit targets and horrible hair - although he's toned it down in the last couple of years mercifully. Davenport was unlucky in that he was always going to be 6th in line to be in the midfield, and Wojcinski has tenure as the incumbent running half-back.

Yes, he's that bad.

He has no discernible skills. All he's got going for him is that he's quick. I remember in 1992 going to a game at home against Adelaide and thinking we comprehensively won every position on the ground - I couldn't think of anyone that would've replaced a player in the side that day. Suffice to say, Tenace would've struggled to make the little league look good. We don't want players like him associated with this club. I'm actually astounded that we held on to him for as long as we did.

Hope they pick him up. Tenace still has a four or five years in him, and with the depth of Geelong's midfield he had minimal opportunity at Skilled, no thanks to his poor disposal.
