Please AFL, take the hint from the crowd, for everyone's sake, never give Freo a prime slot again until we have years of credibility to erase the embarrassment that we have been and are and will be for some time yet.

That has nothing to do with us and everything to do with St Kilda having no fans.

They do have one vocal fan though. That girl that starts of screaming knock knock..whose there's....Saints.. when the saints come marching. In lol

So there are 3 sports that I watch regularly - soccer (EPL), basketball (NBA) and footy. Somehow I have managed to pick 3 of the most infuriating teams to support - Arsenal, Philadelphia 76ers and the Dockers. For those of you who follow NBA, the 76ers has had an absolute disaster of a season, and this is on the back of coming into the season as a supposedly championship contender after a few inconsistent seasons, where they look in the regular season but completely flame out in the playoffs when the whips get cracking. Basically a long winded way to say that I feel well equipped to recognise players/teams that are mentally weak, and right now, the parallels between the 76ers and the Dockers aware so damn uncanny it’s not even funny. And this movie isn’t going to end well unless there’s a massive change from a culture standpoint, because as it has been mentioned countless of times here, we are just so f**cking soft, both physically and mentally. There simply has to be a change, and as much as I loathe the idea of firing a coach mid season as it feels like most of the time, we need a scapegoat to place the blame on why things have gone so bad, but it is clear as day that JLo is part of the problem and should be moved on, especially since there are suitable candidates out there to replace him…

I’m all for supporting a team through thick and thin, but I really feel like I’m pretty close to breaking point…my 11 year old son (who I’m concerned has taken on some of my bad habits at raging at the TV or the stadium when watching the Dockers play) asked whether we should be supporting another team, and for the time my in my life, I’m ashamed to say that I briefly entertained the idea, though at this stage, I’d much rather just give up watching footy all together..FML…
Yep. NFL I'm a Bengals fan. As a fan base, I think we're just one giant sunk cost fallacy.

Nobody wants to go to Docklands. Also level 1 is reserved for AFL Docklands members who pay 5K so they can turn up whenever they like Any game. Saints have no say in the allocation.

Kicking down the line happens because after they take the mark they take too much time thinking about the next play that all the options close up and that becomes the only somewhat best option
.
Problem is even when kicking it high or down the line to a contest it seems out players get out marked or more problematic is when it hits the ground it's the oppo that seems to be able swoop onto it
There are numerous leads all the time and we don’t pull the trigger quickly.
That has to be game plan or we are recruiting scared players who don’t feel like they have the skill to take it on.

I'm very surprised to hear so many people categorically state that the low turn out has nothing to do with Fremantle.

We all know the Saints are a poorly supported club. That doesn't prove that Freo have nothing to do with the attendance.

The next lowest friday attendance this year is 30K, Geelong vs North.

Freo scored the lowest score of the year. And in dry, still conditions.

Once again we shat the bed in prime time - this has been loudly bemoaned by the vast majority of Freo supporters for years.

We repeatedly can't even polish our turd in prime time.

It would be to Freo's great advantage if we were banned from prime time fixtures until we get some rock-solid credibility behind us.

They can't say that playing us is an excuse. They get cheap as hell memberships and GA tickets are half the price of what we pay here. They get prime-time Friday night games at a time that is actually convenient for fans to get to. They have no excuse to not get another 10k at least.

This, they got double the attendance against Richmond and everyone knows they are going to be bottom 4 this year.

Not sure why but I opened up Kayo and decided to watch some of the clearances to see what was happening, thing that stood out the most apart form us losing them all was that the saints players where holding their freo opponent almost every time, like two hands around them or holding an arm etc.

I understand that when both players are holding they let it go but it was very one sided from what I could see, Freo players hunting ball, saints players hunting freo players first and the ball second. Do I not understand the rules? i..e If Brayshaw has a saints player hanging off one of his arms while he is trying to get the ball isnt that a free kick?

If its within the rules then why did we not do that back and flip the script? why are we playing the role of sheep and them the wolf? Very frustrating watching.

Think MJ got pinged for holding...seems it's at umps discretion..we still need find a way to combat it

Its literally why Bolton gave away that 50 at the end of the second, he was being held for 30 seconds or more and eventually he got jack of it. Saints did this all night with no penalty.

Would love to see Ross Lyon come into a club at the stage we are at now. Last time I always thought he had us over achieving too soon in 2012, before the list was good enough. Same with the Saints both times, just not good enough depth of quality.
But our current list has all the pieces more or less and if you added the Ross effort levels - would be interesting.

Saints bullied us all night, they played like a team of Crowleys without the tagging. Every mediocre team will do it from now on, the better teams will back their talent, structures & gamestyle.

But for the better teams there is now a plan b. Our midfield is too similar & we were holding on with Young in there. Someone needs to go in there & be an arseh*le around the stoppage, Johnson ain’t it, don’t think Erasmus has it in him, Brodie & Narkle unlikely.

Nod is probably the one on our list who has the greatest potential & he needs to get off the wing & into the contest as soon as he’s fit.

Serong & Brayshaw had no support at all, we need to find it. I reckon Fyfe would love the role, but…..

Then where’s the guys blocking or confronting these opponents ? Neale deals with this every week. He uses separation and smarts around the ball.
Darcy is a dumb ass. The whole midfield coaching/players are actually. If that’s the case then, why don’t they just set up forward of the stoppages and force opponents to defend that side? Instead Darcy just taps it down 1-2m in front of him.
Would’ve though learned from Melbourne game. Nope.

100%!!!
Its on the senior players in the midfield group and the coaches to fix it but they dont seem to know how.
Can you imagine what they talk about between the quarters? "Hey guys lets just keep playing "our" way , it will come good yeah!?"

Also maybe the dreaded slow build up style and working from stoppage to stoppage is unfortunately designed and built on the players we have

We all want this fast speed on the ball run and gun style. However, the reality is when we go into a fast shootout we usually lose. We either cough it up in one of the last chain, majority of the players don't have the gut running like brayshaw to play this outside of short bursts and when we turn it over our def is useless 1 on 1

We lose a lot. May as well try something new.

Well, this is good news really. Don’t need to worry about the footy, no need to spend any money on footy, no stress.

I have come to accept this team will never win the premiership, which is great as it means I can spend my money and attention elsewhere. And really, as fans, that’s the only power we have.

I can see stickers being printed now,

‘Tasmania is closer to a flag than Fremantle’
