Looking at imdb.com at the list of movies coming out in 2020. Heaps of sequels scheduled for release next year -

Ghostbusters: Afterlife
Top Gun: Maverick
Bill & Ted Face the Music
Fast & Furious 9
Venom 2
The Conjuring 3
Coming 2 America
Now You See Me 3
Currently unnamed Saw sequel
Insidious: The Dark Realm
Minions: The Rise of Gru
Peter Rabbit 2
Legally Blonde 3
Indiana Jones & The Sanctuary of the Black Order
Escape Room 2
Currently untitled Purge sequel
Jungle Book 2

Don't know if we need a few of those sequels, but we're getting them anyway.

ummm...the first one was pretty good, wasn't as fussed on the second but is this one being made to show how magic can make money for those who star in the film?

What's with all the slasher/horror films? Not that I've seen any from any of the series listed, but are any of them actually any good?

The Horror sequels I wouldn't mind seeing though are: On Friday (Jul 19, 2019), Universal announced Halloween Kills, the next film to be released on October 16, 2020. It will be followed by Halloween Ends, which opens in theaters almost a year after on October 15, 2021

Halloween Kills is an upcoming American slasher film directed by David Gordon Green and written by Green, Danny McBride and Scott Teems. It is a sequel to 2018's Halloween and the twelfth installment in the Halloween franchise
