* why drink west end, Coopers is a much better local brew.
They didn't have Coopers Red on tap and I'm not a huge fan of the Pale ale. Nothing wrong with West End for me

I’d rather drink water from the Torrens RiverThey didn't have Coopers Red on tap and I'm not a huge fan of the Pale ale. Nothing wrong with West End for me

It's not even a local beer anymore.

If you want to be really technical, a Weiner Schnitzel is veal and a German one is usually pork.It will do me just fine!
One thing I don’t get is why does Adelaide always have beef and chicken schnittys on the pub menus. Melbourne you only ever get chicken. It’s a great thing for me, I prefer a beef one, just interesting.

I'm sure chicken is more of an Aussie/Kiwi thing.
They used to do a calamari schnitzel in my town a few years agoIt will do me just fine!

They used to make a porterhouse shnitty at our local years ago.
Like a whole crumbed, flattened porterhouse steak. OMG was amazing

Yeah I went to the butcher at Henley Square and they had crumbed porterhouse there. Really good butcher that one, got some of the bacon he smokes himself, the scotch fillet was epic too.

Love that butcher. Not hideously expensive either.
Parking in Hahndorf is ridiculous, council have bought a block of land and are going to build parking spots in it. My grandparents lived there in the 80’s and 90’s and it’s definitely not as charming as it used to be.I wasn't sure where to post but this seemed the appropriate place.
I think Hahndorf while has some character and charm about it has become an over-inflated pretentious Adelaide Hills weekend getaway. Was there on Saturday passing through to Kaitpo Forest and regret going through there. Way too many people, streets too narrow and congested and fwiw ruins the charm that should be. It seems to be the one place everyone raves about and the tourist hotspot again makes it less than appealing. I ended up stopping at Meadows and the bakery there was one of the best I've ever been to. Don't regret it.
Strathalbyn is sort of going that way too. Tanunda can be a little bit overwhelming tourist wise too.
Away from the crowds, they're all good places to visit, just the crowds like every where else ruin it.
Pik-a-Pie is a quality bakery. Better than Port Elliott (still a good bakery, but the line-ups are ridiculous).I wasn't sure where to post but this seemed the appropriate place.

Meadows bakery is the best. They had about 60 different piesI haven’t really done enough of SA.
Been there for the footy twice.
Went to some place close to the city waterfall and bush walking tracks.
Can't remember where.
Victor harbour.
Some coastline areas.
Some good bakery's along that way.
Missed kangaroo Island sadly.
We both got super sick.
WAs about 20 people there but well worth it. Such a hidden gem Meadows because everyone's beating their ..... about Hahndorf.Pik-a-Pie is a quality bakery. Better than Port Elliott (still a good bakery, but the line-ups are ridiculous).
Agreed overall, there's plenty of nice, charming towns in the hills yet Hahndorf is the one so many gravitate too despite being a tourist trap.
So far in my hiking journey post realization that combat sports aren't sustainable I'd say Grampians is the best by a mile.Flinders Ranges interest me.
I like nature and hiking.
Kangaroo Island.
I'd have to do my research if I was doing a road trip other the boarder.

That's what I hate about Instagram culture. It's become all about the quick perfected photograph. I'm doing a lot of hiking and travelling and the number of people doorstopping attractions is insane.
