Considering he openly stated that Carlton needed to return to the good old days when Jack Elliot was in charge In an interview on SEN last week, that would not surprise me at all.

CARLTON NOW!!! Lets go, perfectly summed up by Vince. Everything I been saying for years about the current board is finally starting to become mainstream and now Carlton members are finally seeing just how dysfunctional this club has been for the past decade now. Time we the members took back our footy club and started having people who actually have passion for the club ran it. The strong successful Carlton that we all grew up loving is finally going to be coming back guys and I really hope yall vote for the Carlton Now ticket. Rather than being a basketcase and laughing stock like we are atm, we will finally start to be feared by the rest. As I said the other week on here, how many more things does this current board have to fu** up before you realise that THEY are the root of all our problems.

Oh come-on CL, abandon the alternative ticket and jump on board.

1) it’s not the same board. References to it being the same are a fallacy. It’s already been made clear that at least half the board is soon to be replaced.

2) Board members should bring something of value to the club. Based on what Luke Sayers has already told us, the new members bring expertise in a range of areas that’ll bebefit our club; hopefully that level will be reach for other clubs to match.

3) Our new president is articulate, knowledgeable, well connected, seemingly fair and firm. He’ll lead, rather than be led.

No need for an alternative ticket when it’s reasonably clear the alternative doesn’t stack up against the current leadership.

thats probably the least likely out of all the things to happen. Theres a couple of people on the ticket I've heard that are pushing for PP to host AFL games again but that isn't once of Vince's key priorities

The club will be hoping to get to 6 figures, like Richmond and the Eagles. How do you fit them in? How much revenue do you give up by not playing games at the G (or docklands where we’re still contracted to play)?

I want to know this too. What are they actually proposing to do - apart from spilling the board. What changes are they seeking to make? Football department changes? Lloyd Liddle - yes/no? We are going through a process of changing coach, interviewing candidates. Are they thinking of someone different? I’d be put off if I was one of the candidates.

Who is this Vince fella and what are his credentials? Is he the one that wants to be president? How do his credentials stack up against Luke Sayers who’s background is as a ceo of one of the largest accounting firms in Australia.
At the moment all I know about this Carlton Now thing is that a guy named Vince has a group on Facebook that thinks he can run a football club. Who is he proposing to make up the board and what are their credentials?

The only reason he isn't pushing harder for the job atm is because the board spill hasn't happened yet. It was through meeting with several Carlton Now people that reignited his flame for coaching. The only reason he made up the Leigh Matthews story was so the key details of the spill wouldn't be released until Teague was sacked. If the current board remains in power though Ross will most likely turn the job down (or they'll reject him anyway given 2 members of the current board aren't keen on him).

Ross Lyon actually met with John Elliott about a month ago mate, once all this dies down I'm sure he'll reveal it to the media whether he becomes coach or not

Thinking about it, I’m pretty sure this was also Scott Morrison’s plan to become Prime Minister. Sounds like Carlton Now have a good shot at it then.

Let me guess.... "Carlton Now" have promised you "social media relations" position if they get elected? Mate tell Vince this isn't a power play for a local soccer club in the 1980's & if he was the best candidate to run our board others would have already had him on board. Why do they want to spill a board that is already being replaced? Anybody that's calling for the "spill of the board" in the board's current state whereby the factions are out & new blood - who are actually smart/successful people in their own right (and that's not even mentioning Diesel joining the board) is not someone I want anywhere near the boardroom of my club. On top of which they are not running any platform other than "Make Carlton Great Again" - let me guess? 1st order of business of Carlton Now is to build a wall around Carlton to keep Collingwood out? And they're gonna make Collingwood pay for it? Come on mate tell your mates not to even bother launching this trash. It'll just end in embarrassment for them.

I spent about 40 min watching their videos on Facebook and read what they put out. You summed it up perfectly, I also think they have a policy of just being the opposite of anything the board is. I couldn’t find anything of substance and the entire idea of them getting near it, is quite scary.

If a spill happens we all need to make sure we vote.
