We did have a really bad injury list towards the end of last year, even Doc’s first game was the final, with a healthyish list I would expect us to make the 8

I agree that we should make it but I think it's overly simplistic to just assume he's hating on us rather than he's actually using reason.

That’s surprising, I have always thought he was pretty fair in his analysis when it comes to us. Mick McGuane has always seemed like the bias Collingwood idiot of the two.

Yep, talent in the side would suggest that we never should have had a 1-8 stretch. And that the second half of the seasons 9 game winning streak was something that our list was fully capable of achieving.

Using points against is such surface level analysis from King. In 2023 we were in the top 5 for fewest points conceded with largely the same defensive lineup as 2024. It's almost as if the issues in 2024 had to do with areas outside of our backline. Like maybe going from the #1 side at defending stoppage to the third worst side at it in a year...?
