I can't stand the whole debate and thought process of, i don't want just one flag, i want many, i want a dynasty blah, blah.
After the Pies won in 2010, it was supposed to be a dynasty, they had one of the youngest premiership lists and ticked most boxes of a strong club, yet that was their only flag.
The Bombers had one of the best teams assembled in 99, 00 and 01, yet managed only one premiership.
After the Dogs won in 2016, i looked at their list and thought, wow, there is so much to work with here, they are going to challenge for a few years. Now, i think they are closer to a basket case than contender.
My point is, premierships are very hard to win, you take them when you can and there is no way i would give up one for the chance to win two.
Seize the day, Carpe diem, YOLO and all that crap. Win one first and worry about winning the next one tomorrow.

When Parko came back the second time, after we sacked Jezza the second time, shoulda won 2 (how we screwed ‘94 staggers me).

I agree, i think we underperformed in the 90s and should have won more than 1 flag.

‘92, when we got Diesel, sat comfortably in finals contention with 2 Rounds left and got rolled by the Pies in front of 75k at the Park, then got done by the flag winners, WC over there.

Just such a frustrating way to go out in 94.
Finished 2nd and in those days 1 v 8 , 2 v 7 .. in the first week of the finals and got beaten by Melbourne (i think ?) and then lost to Geelong to go out in straight sets. One of very few years that 7 / 8 progressed past the first week of the finals.
