On a lighter note, I was at the All Nations with a few mates the night when the Tiggs were playing GCS up at Carrara.

Molloy was in the main bar yelling and screaming at the TV screen all night holding a beer in one hand.

You should have seen his reaction when Karmichael Hunt kicked the winning goal after the siren...pure gold!!! :D

Just on the topic of footy shows, back in the late 60s, early 70s Channel 7 used to have a Friday night panel show on which there was civilised discussion about the upcoming round of footy. The panel was made up of ex-players but there was no-one acting the clown. Obviously TV networks have decided that AFL fans are no longer interested in civilised discussion about the upcoming weekend's games.

Not if it means more Whateley and Mark Robinson.

I referred to civilised discussion. The word 'civilised' shouldn't be used in the same sentence as Mark Robinson, while Whateley doesn't really pariticpate in 'discussion', he just tries to impart his opinion onto everyone.

Those were the days. In depth stuff. And the same after a game with no circles and crosses over a still shot.

Can’t get out of the way of there own ego’s and bias.

It’s strange how people block posters they don’t know, for picking on them. Going off the tone of this post, I’m sure your comments to him were polite and measured. I would have blocked you too.

Well excuse me for actually caring about past players whom I thought had respect for our club, but instead he is picking on them in their darkest days. Sorry If I didn't take too kindly to that and let him know about it. I wasn't too harsh on him, but I didn't like the tone and constant assault on the team. I don't see Kouta on social media picking on the team when they're down in the dumps. So **** him.

don't let's ever forget how good 25 was when he was on song - fast, brutally big, hands like stilsons and accurate like peter mckenna - he was a joy to watch

Caught up with him a couple of times near the end of his career ( he loved a cup of tea). Had massive vise like hands for a guy his size

People make choices good and bad. In the safety industry we try and reduce risk but we cannot for human stupidity. What I'm saying is let people make decisions, you can't protect people from alcohol. If it's not on telly it's down the street at the BBQ wherever.

It is pretty dumb though, having those beers in front of the hosts.
It is legal though as it would be to have them sitting in front of a pokie machine drawing on a ciggy........but it is dumb, just the same.

You can't protect people from anything but you can highlight the dangers of substances.
Interesting stats that show up that we effectively have 1 million less people smoking now than would have been doing so in 2001. (relative figures)
Do you think that there's somehow smoking is missing in their lives?

Don't ban substances, but let's all at least be just a little bit responsible.
