-2.4 here last night and -0.2 as I type this. Summer top temp reached 46 or so this year. Love the variety but prefer it as it is now thanks. Really easy to sleep when it's icy cold.
Are they shaped like birds?Blocks of ice floating in our little birdbath past two mornings - haven't really seen that much before

Yep, the East Sale RAAF base BOM station logged that figure. Still minus five when I left for work at seven thirty.Noticed you had -7 this morning! (record breaking)

Could be mistaken but thought I saw a White Walker trudging across the frosty paddocks on my way to work.

Please **** off winter.
For warm weather lovers.
I'd say Broome looks the place to be this time of year.
There is always Darwin as well which is 30 degrees every day.
Sounds amazing.
The only good thing about winter is that its footy season.
- overseas sports on tv are at their peak
Things I love about winter:
- sleeping
- footy
- overseas sports on tv are at their peak
- winter food kills summer food
- as does winter wine
- golf courses are easier to get on
- can cool down much quicker after a workout
- kids go to bed when they're told easier due to the dark
- there's no flies or mozzies around
- I can work around clothing to get to the right temp, rather than being constantly f****** sweltering
- hangovers are much easier to deal with in the cold
- I hate gardening. The garden tends to itself in winter.
- birds don't wake you up at 5:00am
- hayfever much more manageable or even non-existent (bad sufferer)
I'm a winter guy. I get around like a grump in summer like most people I know do in winter.
