Ah, yes, that one he kicked out of bounce on the full across goal with a set shot in the last was very close......The guy is a very average player, the sooner people realise it, the better their chance of keeping their sanity.

As for Pav, would love him, but very slim chance of it happening. We've gone from having a feared forward attack two years back to a shambles at the moment.



Get real. MM is a one trick pony and opposition coaches know it. Why do you think he has been outcoached in his last two games by "inferior" coaches.

And who do you propose we give up for Pav?
I don't think Freo are gonna accept Cloke and I wouldn't be prepared to give up Anthony or a quality Mid for him.
They may take Rusling (If he's fit) and a pick, but I doubt it.

We need to focus on getting Dawes into the side as a CHF and play Anthony deep.

They may take Rusling (If he's fit) and a pick, but I doubt it.

It would take far more than we'd be willing to give. Maybe they'd take Davis and a first round pick, but I'd doubt it. I don't think Freo want to be bent over in any more trades so they're likely to be quite hard at the table I reckon.

Ridiculous thread, freo finally playing some good footy, there's no way in hell Pav would want to leave, and no way freo would trade him.

Our only way forward is working on developing the players we already have.

Having said that, we are only two rounds into the season. Pav, who has been playing footy for about 10 seasons, has played in 1 or 2 finals series? Not exactly a great return for a quality player like him. If Freo did fade away badly this year and failed to make the 8 again, he is out of contract and could be persuaded to join a team on the brink of success. After all I'm pretty sure he has put off his contract negotiations hasn't he?

Hypothetically, I think that if we were to offer Freo Davis and Wellingham plus say a 2nd round pick, they would have to look at that. Davis is of a similar age to Pav (28-29 ish), Wellingham looks like he's ready to have a breakout year and a pick is a pick.

Having said that, we will not offer this for Pav, Freo will not accept this for Pav, and Pav will stay at the Dockers.

What's humourous is how over-rated Pav is, mainly by Freo fans. The fact that you obviously think he is worth more than one decent young player and pick is laughable.

Guess you'll have to accept that he's not for sale and never will be. If we think he's worth more than a decent young player and a pick that is our perogative.

The fact that he is double and triple teamed almost every time he goes near the ball is testiment to the fact that coaches respect his ability, even if you don't.

LOL I never said I wanted him, 'cos I don't. He's about as good as Cloke. Useless. Shine's in a poor team and probably wouldn't get a game at a good side, that's why he stays I would imagine.

Not sure if playing in losing grand finals is better than not playing in finals, but your final summation is accurate. Collingwood couldn't give us enough for him, we wouldn't trade him and he doesn't want to go
