You mean he wouldn't miss from within the goal square ?one thing that puts Edwards in front of McGuane automatically for me is he is a dead eye dick in front of goals, inaccuracy really cost us big time last year.
The bloke from the VFL?

Never fumbles either , just every time he goes to grab the footy a freak 500klm wind blows it off it's path .McGuane didnt miss dude, he hit the post smack bang with his boot...its not his fault the post seemed to move on him.![]()
It takes more than being a dead eye dick to fit into Hardwicks game plan..... Whats holding Edwards back would be the same reasons that held him back at North. Hopefully under Dimma he can work on his game and become more than a 1 trick pony.

After thinking similar with Grigg and seeing the change in attitude Dimma has been able to get , it wont surprise me if by season's end if ' the one trick pony ' becomes ' a Nut screwing stallion '.It takes more than being a dead eye dick to fit into Hardwicks game plan..... what if that meant that he was the difference between winning and losing against carlton ??I have no problem with that except the Nut screwing... you didnt have to turn this into a farm related attack you sheep milking cheese maker....
I would like us to treat Edwards like the swans did Morton, Make him earn the respect and trust of the players on the training track and in the 2's before he is given a seniors guernsey.... Seeing Edwards line up round 1 wouldn'tsit well with me given his past record.
I see his talent and would love nothing more than him reaching his potential with us. But sticking A. Edwards (the Kanga's model) straight into our side because he can kick straighter than Mcguane is comical.
I think we'll start off with:
HF: J.King/Nahas, T.Vickery, Knights
F: S.Edwards, J.Riewoldt, A.Edwards
A.Edwards: 10 game, 17 goals
Ideally I'd like to see one of Elton or Griffiths developed as the CHF. I'm leaning towards Elton as Griffiths can play down make and take the monster forwards, however Elton's not ready just yet. So the three talls with Shedwards in the pocket and Knights/Nahas on the flank with Martin, Cotchin, Deledio rotating through there. Vickery is that third tall that can help Maric out in the ruck. It'd be a very dangerous forwardline with Vickery (200cm), Riewoldt (195) and one of Elton (197) or Griffiths (199).
So long term:
HF: R.Nahas/Knights, Elton, Martin
F: T.Vickery, J.Riewoldt, S.Edwards
I think they should give Jayden Post 6-7 games at CHF and leave him there to gain experience and realize his potential.![]()
That's only because IDGAF left VictoriaYou do realise that when MT goes postal your the first cab of the rank!

The reason of A Edwards ahead of McGaun (& dont tell me deep down you dont believe this too) Is that when Edwards get the ball you'll have a feeling that something might happen. As apposed to the feeling of "how's he gonna **** this up" when McGaun gets it.
Whats comical is i'd have more confidence in wrangling a chimp from Melb zoo & throwing him out there in a Richmond jumper than I have in McGaun
.I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that A. Edwards has to take the forward spot from Luke and until he can earn it, Luke has it given his runs on the board from last season. But if the coaches believe he has earned it on the track etc. I'll back their call.
