What do you think of Kostya Tszyu's young bloke calling out Mundine today?
I didn't even know he did mate. See, that's what I mean, you're onto it and I'm not. From now on you can be my number 1 boxing source.

Straight off the bat I like it. The name sells { like in Creed:)} it actually does though. I like that he's an up and comer { just googled him, he's old for an up and comer } and wants to challenge a guy I love to hate. They're smart. True boxers. BUSINESSMEN. Although Mundine is an old bum and past it, people will still pay to watch it. Because of the NAMES.

Now on Tszyu Jnr, I called him an up and comer. Is he even that though? maybe we could classify that in Australian terms. He doesn't seem very active, he isn't young in boxing terms and I know there have been several that started late and made a good career, but looking at who he's fought on boxrec, they seem like bums. He had 6 fights last year in actual fact so he is active and made his pro debut late 2016. He will have his second fight for the year this month.

You know more than me so what do you think of him? What do you think his potential can be? I only saw the one fight which was last year on the Green-Mundine card. Mundine was finished when he lost to Wood in 2010, if he wasn't finished before then. He should have went to America sooner.

Young Tszyu is pretty sharp - he is an accurate puncher with patience and power. Part of me thinks Tszyu is too upright, lacks fluidity and doesn't seem aware of shots coming at him at times (he gets tagged by novice fighters regularly), but then I understand its probably due to his Russian style. They seem to be upright fighters, lack head movement and have not much care for taking a backwards step. But the upside for Russian's is that they are offensive beasts - think Golovkin, Kovalev and Beterbiev. They are seek and destroy fighters and Tszyu is no different. There are basic things that Tszyu needs to fix though and that is pawing with his left (leaving it out there too long), and over extending his overhead right. That just gives an opponent an opportunity that you don't need to give him. If he does that against a heavy puncher then it could end badly, but its unnecessary he does it. Just simple things like that probably suggest he isn't up to Mundine at the moment, he'd be made to pay for those simple errors and Choc is still quick enough to hit the target. Even at this stage in his career though, Tszyu's precision and power add an interesting element to the Mundine fight. For all his flaws, I am still very impressed with Tszyu's offensive game.

Nice. Good write up man. You know your strategies and fighters.

Good work.

Bellew gets it done over Haye. Looks like Haye injured his achilles early on. Haye's career is over.

No much talk about Golovkin’s latest act of destruction. Did everyone already think this was gonna be that easy for him?

I wonder what Canelo thought watching that flogging.

Don’t forget Loma’s on show again this Saturday v Linares. What’s the chances of Vasyl getting yet another quitter on his resume..?

Yeah went out to a bar to watch GGG. Ain't no way that was worth $40. Still good to see GGG was back to his best, even if his opponent was a bit of a tomato can.

Hope Foxtel show Loma on Sunday. Was in the TV guide, but is now gone :(

Was just having a look for how to watch the Loma/Linares fight, doesn't seem to be listed anywhere...
It was listed on Monday. It was listed as "Live: Boxing Top Rank Special." Now it's gone :( Really annoyed about it.

That being said, it's on ESPN in the US, so it won't be hard to find a stream.

He recovered really well after that knockdown. Quite impressed by Linares tho, he did well

Yep, he again proved his chin is pure granite. That's 3rd fight where his chin held up versus much bigger opponents power punches (Salido, Martinez and Linares).

He has no weakness.

I'd love to see him take on Mikey Garcia next

I'm thinking that Loma would want a fight at 140lbs before taking on Mikey. That fight will probably happen in 2019.

Their are A LOT of the boxing fans pissed on the Fox Sports Facebook page right now, after they didn't show the Loma fight. And so they should be. The fact that they removed it from the schedule to show a stupid cricket replay is pathetic.

I had another way to watch it, but still would have preferred to watch it on Fox.

So the campaigners were going to show it, but canned it?

****ing **** suckers

going to thailand now to train muay thai for 3 months with my hands covered in glass so I can go maul these twats at foxsports. Then again I probably could do it in my sleep. **** it I'll go to thailand anyway.

Good luck finding sparring partners ha ha

And yeah great effort by Lomachenko, got off the canvas to win with a body shot, respect right there.

What the hell is with the sanctioned bare knuckle boxing matches held in the us?

Bec Rawlings fought and won on the weekend I believe. I guess they’re looking for something more “hardcore” than MMA, when actually it will be harder for them to throw big haymakers. Becs knuckles were completely ****ed up after it.
