After multiple demotions Greg Rust is finally getting the hint and moving on from V8s on Fox Sports. Typical statement about spending more time with the family, but no doubt he was given the arse. Always got the impression Neil Crompton didn't like him, you could almost hear Crompo cringe when they were calling the V8s first year on FS, Rusty was that bad.

Seems like a decent bloke and passionate about motorsport, but unfortunately his abilities were / are light years behind his enthusiasm. He's been given ample opportunities to call a variety of motorsport categories from F1, MotoGP and Supercars, but for some reason he never improved. Shame.

My fondest memory of Rusty was hosting F1 on Ch10 and right before the race he and his "team" would don a pair of racing headsets before crossing over to the official coverage. They weren't even plugged in. Still makes me laugh.

So Tailem Bend gets a gig in next years championship. Track and pit building arent complete yet but should be by years end. For those of you not familiar with SA geography its about 70-90 minutes away from Adelaide on the way to Melbourne on the Murray. It is a huge complex, by far the biggest in Australia.

Should be great for the state.

So Tailem Bend gets a gig in next years championship. Track and pit building arent complete yet but should be by years end.
