That's probably three weeks in a row he's been close to best on ground. What a champion he is, the "igniter" tag was especially true last night when he helped get us off to a flyer.

was very good last night, i dont think he mised a atregt with any of his 20odd kicks.

Hope he keeps it up for the rest of the season and finals

Stats show 22 disposals with 92% efficiency. Has Leon become an elite midfielder before any of us have noticed? And the best player to watch by a fair margin.

Yes i think he has i was doubting hsi ankle injury only a month ago.

But since he has proved me entirely wrong, has become a fantastic and consistent player

Yep, he's red-hot at the moment, Leon. The game he played last week against Port is the best game he's ever played for the club, I reckon. And last night against the Swans his pace, clean hands, and creative kicking made him stand out like a beacon. Play of the night was Leon running past a Swan player in the centre square and gathering the ball and releasing a handball as he was tackled -- all in the same motion.

That swan player was goodes who is twice the size and meant to be one of the most talented players playing.

Leon keeps up this output we will be a hard team to play come finals

graet article in The Age today about him. The short braek a few weeks ago really helped, how good were they even without Thomas, Didak and Shaw? Dane Swan flys great top cover for Leon too. And now he is very accountable defensively, love it.

Really looking forward to seeing Friday night's match against Freo.

Leon always seems to pull out a good one when he plays in Perth no matter how bad his form is at the time. What sort of game is he going to give us when he's in such scintillating form!?

Look out for Medders too..... first time he's played Freo back at Subiaco.

Absolutely love that little bloke with the sublime skills. Just imagine he played in the Vic Park era in front of those packed terraces where the noise volume was deafening and relentless when we started to take control of contests.

Up there with the best midfielders at the moment.

The improvement Leon has shown year after year has been astonishing really.

He is gone from a skinny, inconsistent goal sneak, to now being one of the most consistent and damaging goal kicking midfielders in the league.

I know SC and DT points are the making of a player, but the fact Leon is leading or near the top of all fantasy game points shows his worth to Collingwood.

He almost single handedly finished off West Coast with that burst at the start of the last quarter, which just showed what he is now capable of.

And with returning support in both the midfield and forward line over the next few weeks, Leon will be able to continue his dominance, and will have to for us to become a serious contender this year.

Leon Davis is a truly great Collingwood football story, and we hope to see more of his amazing skills for years to come.:thumbsu:
