If you can't tell the difference between Russia pre the revolution and the USSR I dunno what to say.

Ignoring the fact that Ukrainian Nazis exist and are part of a transnational far right network that convinced Brenton Tarrant to murder women and children in their place of worship just across the ditch is even less fair. You know that there are Russian military units that are the same as the Azov battalion yeah? The Wagner group has Nazi roots for example.
Focusing on just the Ukrainian nazis is not really playing fair.
The USSR existed for 70+ years, the Nazis for a bit over 10. But its distasteful comparing atrocities and you can't compare the USSR to Russia today. Stalin wasn't even Russian. It’s also worth noting that the USSR were just as bad as the Nazis in terms of their treatment of people. Actually I think Stalin has a bigger body count.
That's no excuse for the genocide they engaged in.To understand the Nazism in Ukraine you need to look into the history of why they sided with Germany in the first place.

**** off. You deliberately misquoted me saying Putin preferred a Tsarist pre soviet Russian empire to the USSR.That's a strawman. I never insinuated that.
My point was that Putin absolutely has desires for a return to a Soviet-style 'empire'. Is it realistic and feasible? No. And I'm not suggesting that. But that doesn't mean he isn't romantic about it.

Its low. I thought you were better than that and you just lost alot of respect.
Putin literally said the fall of the Soviet Union was a tragedy
He even went as far as to not allow Gorbachev's body to be buried among other former leaders.
Let’s settle down here gents.Maybe if you didn't support the people who trained Tarrant to carry out the Christchurch massacre Putin wouldn't be able to use that as an excuse for his invasion.
Some true colors there boyo. You don’t really give a **** what happens to some people west of the Dnipr as long as you can own some campaigners on the internet and ya mum doesn’t have to overpay for her weet-bix.I hate Putin and hated him when you were still in short pants boyo.
I just don't buy the spin and bullshit and lies that you do, laughably.
You can't even conceive that someone doesn't a single flying fig about who controls a string of Russophone town west of the Dnipr, and that I understand who controls those towns has absolutely no impact whatsoever on my life - apart from the massive inflation surge caused by the decison of the West to get involved in that squalid ethnic conflict for wider geopolitical reasons.
You see the world as goodies and baddies, pro West and pro Russian, a child's understanding of the world.
Yeah, I can't imagine Prigozhin not copping a bullet in the future.
Even if his complaints are valid from the pov of someone in his position (ie that Shoigu ****ed up massively and lied about all sorts of stuff that jeopardised the success of their war.)

Just a friendly reminder for ferball and anyone else; I am Jewish by birth and have Jewish heritage so I don't really take kindly to being called a nazi sympathiser (no matter how you word it).
Let’s settle down here gents.
Love the passion, but let’s not overstep the mark and attack the person, or their character.
Mouth full of Prawn sandwiches with our favourite Belorussian PresidentPrigozhin seems to have gone quiet.... already
Nah man, people who openly defend and side with Nazis are of low character and get called out.
All foreign policy should be based upon stereotypes from Rambo iii,Nah man, people who openly defend and side with Nazis are of low character and get called out.
As are those like the Aussie Cossack dickhead that support a scumbag like Putin.
I'd love to know how many people in this thread have ever met a Russian.
Not a Russian emigre to Australia, but Russians who live in Russia
All foreign policy should be based upon stereotypes from Rambo iii,
The dehumanising aspect is on show, posters forget, Russians are a proud people, who have been humiliated again and again. At some point they’re going to stand up and they literally pointed at the red line for years. What did we think was going to happen when we crossed it. Unless they win or deescalation happens, it’s headed for nuclear war.
This is an unexceptional position for the world to be in.
