Imagine if we released more the 1950 of them.

We could fund our coaching department and fitness staff on guernsey sales alone, and we wouldn't be stuck ordering our staff off of AliExpress and Wish like we usually do.
We could probably fund Hinkley's next contract :rainbow:

You can purchase over the phone from the club store and they do ship them, they just don't really publish that for some reason.

Not good how poorly sales were anticipated if they can sell out in a half hour.

Well that is ****ing stupid.

The club likes the money, but they don’t like anything the PB’s stand for. Last thing mediocrity land wants is the bulk of the supporter base demanding success like we had in the PB’s. They do enough to placate the masses, without risking too many questions/expectations

So what kochie is saying is that they’re basically just getting rid of old left over stock from 2020 of the prison bars now. Says it takes weeks to manufacture new ones, but didn’t really answer the question if they will manufacture more or not. Surely if there is no bullshit limit Collingwood have hamstrung us with selling them it’s a no brainer to produce more

Rather than chopping and changing our clash guernseys every year to drum up more merch sales, this is a obvious opportunity to capitalise on massive demand.

Considering he got the day wrong for the in store sale. I'm gonna hedge my bets and say he's a little wrong about the stock year

They wouldn't dare sell isc branded gear still so I reckon it's the stock they ordered for the 2021 showdown we barred up for after we won.

God, kochie can't get anything right.

Like many, it seems strange for the club to not cash in by taking more orders for the 2023 wharf pylon guernsey. Not sure if there will be a line-up of fans at the Port Store at 9am on Friday just for old stock.

Just wish Koch and Co would start referring to our heritage jumper as the 'wharf pylon' jumper (which is in recognition of the area we represent) as opposed to prison bars.

The wider football community need to know there's actually a rhyme and reason to our jumper....
I'd have to change my user name! I'm leaning towards calling it the "wharf jumper" rather than the "wharf pylon jumper": it is the whole wharf (not just the pylons) after all. Sounds better too I reckon.

I'd be more for just calling it our home guernsey.

What the bars are called doesn't matter, at all really. All things being equal, i'd prefer it be called something a little bit more Port Adelaide specific but it doesn't matter. Prison bars are the term they're known by and trying to change that just muddies the water for no reason. Everyone knows what you mean when you say Prison Bars, and everyone associates it with the PAFC. That's more important than a slightly more appealing name.

Looks like they aren't even doing phone orders on Friday now. Anyone heading in that would please help a Perth boy out, per chance?

I used to hear people refer to it as just the 'lace up' guernsey, when they meant the PBs, even when it wasn't actually a lace up. As I posted before, that guernsey became synonymous with being lace up.
