I think internet connecting that stuff is a bad idea.
I know people that have done it and privacy concerns aside, blackouts or internet outages caused them a lot more issues

One night my missus woke me up freaking out at the monitor because she thought someone was in one of the kids beds. It ended up being a well positioned quilt and pillow that looked like a bloke lying down

I chucked my printer when I moved apartments earlier this year.

I had one of those Canon inkjet MFDs. Only ever needed to use it once or twice a year, and every time I fired it up something would be wrong with it. Ink would mysteriously disappear. Wouldn't connect to WiFi. Computer wouldn't recognise it. It wouldn't read USB. It wouldn't recognise PDF. There was no such thing as "I'll just quickly print/scan/copy this". Was always a good hour job to coax an output from the thing.

Haven't looked back.

Although I still have 2 reams of Reflex paper taking up space! That I bought back in about 2017.
