I think internet connecting that stuff is a bad idea.
I know people that have done it and privacy concerns aside, blackouts or internet outages caused them a lot more issues

Not looking to have anything hosted online. Gonna build the backend myself and have it hosted locally. Looking forward to it.

Would Dan Andrews have become the member for Mulgrave automatically when he became state premier or would he have won via a separate election?
In other words, do all premiers and prime ministers become members for their electorates automatically upon winning office?

Online baby monitors really creep me out. I refused to get one that hooked up to the internet cos I've heard too many horror stories.

They should! So many of them rely on horribly insecure IP camera technology. With a few specific Google search terms you can view a stranger's baby laying in their crib, and sometimes even activate the microphone.

Those high up in political parties tend to have already been parachuted into safe seats before they became party leaders.

I had one of those Canon inkjet MFDs. Only ever needed to use it once or twice a year, and every time I fired it up something would be wrong with it. Ink would mysteriously disappear. Wouldn't connect to WiFi. Computer wouldn't recognise it. It wouldn't read USB. It wouldn't recognise PDF. There was no such thing as "I'll just quickly print/scan/copy this". Was always a good hour job to coax an output from the thing.

Same same. Posted this about 8 months ago, have nothing but good things to say about it:

Money where my mouth is. Gf went to print a work document this morning, Epson printer wanted ink even though it had new cartridges a month ago. She went and got the new cartridge, opened the bag, it had leaked all over the inside and was unusable.

Went to Good Guys, Brother HL-L2350DW. $169. Didn't even haggle, just asked the guy what was his best price. Tap, tap, "$149" Done. Got home, five minutes later printy printy print.

:thumbsu:

Wow I did not know that. How would that happen though?
Probably the government would pick one of its safest seats and tell the MP to resign. The PM would stand as the government candidate at the subsequent byelection. Three months is sort of a reasonable timeframe for that to happen.

It’s never happened - any I think it is kind of unlikely to happen. But it’s possible. John Gorton (who became prime minister after Harold Holt disappeared) was PM for about a month without holding a seat in parliament. Gorton was a senator at the time he became PM, and he resigned from Parliament to run for Holt’s old seat of Higgins.

Interestingly there is nothing to say that senators can’t be Prime Minister, it’s just a convention that the PM always sits in the lower house

What's a normal amount of times to go to the dentist? I'm 27 and I think I've been once, and I fear that number is too few.

Oh man.. ive gone 6 or 7 year stretches.

Chipped my back tooth, got it fixed, went back and forth a couple times after that. It's been about 3 years now since I've been.

really depends on your mouth

an annual checkup isn't a bad idea, some people need to go more, some get away with going less

I haven’t been for years either but being a Collingwood supporter this isn’t unusual im told
:tearsofjoy:

Side note- its annoying, my "cousin in law" has his own dental practise but do you reckon we benefit from that?! No.
Tis a bit bullshit that imo.

Would love to get a massively discounted mouth guard from him, cause I grind my teeth sometimes at night.

I actually really do have a lovely dentist.

Softly spoken, very calm and nice. Has good music on too over the speakers.

I watched this dog show .
Told the story of these people with working dog puppies and their training etc

Then the week after their Netflix wasn't working ..wanted to stab them just joking.
I'm like you guys make enough pay your bills...
