I didn’t do KK or Christmas party this year

This week was my 10yr anniversary and I’ve realised that I think I’m done

Too old to move on, to soon to retire but maybe it’s time to transition to part part time if that’s now my attitude

When the camera zooms into a utensil slicing through a piece of food on a dish, then follows the utensil all the way into the judges mouth, followed by an OTT judges focussed look, then the score.....

how is food be assessed when judge A has a different palate to B. And C is allergic to ingredient in the dish, what about C??

On Great British Menu they have a ring in judge if there's an allergy.

i guess there's so many what ifs. for example, what if judge Q doesnt like hot/chilli food, and one is presented.

They have to judge it on its merits not their personal taste. Again I'm talking GBM. I have no idea what the drama cooking shows do. I only watch GBM and bake off.

Photography is more important than integrity of competition. Half the dishes are cold before the judges judge them - One of the Masterchef judges said anyway.

I think they make up for it with tastes during the cooking? Not sure.

I saw a video where a contestant spoke about it. He said they make two plates. One the judges taste when hot and then the one they taste on camera is purely for show. They supposedly break for lunch after the cooking so the judging is after lunch so the food is cold. The judges already know what they are going to say by the time they taste the food on camera.

Regifting a present. Yay or nay? One of my students gave me a pack of 5 different body sprays for an end of the year gift. However I find most of these body sprays irritate my skin. Is it tacky to regift this at Christmas?

I would assume Federal> National so you'd be fine.
