So the season is going to come down to the Darcy v Moose battle in the last round. Two absolute gladiators going at it with finals for both teams on the line.

If you don't enjoy your season hanging in the balance each week, then you don't enjoy Dockery football.

You guys are such losers keep that negative energy to yourself.

Anyone else feel like we can sneak into top 4, even top 3?

Why stop there? We win out. Pies lose to Crows. GC drop a game. Cats lose to Sydney. We finish 2nd. Using the betting odds for the next few rounds as a guide, the odds would be around 60-1.

I do, I truly do and then we lose first week but win the semi final, get bundled out by Adelaide in the preliminary final in Adelaide.

But tbh I'll be happy that the ride even happened

I was just looking at the last 3 rounds last season and there were 5 bottom 10 teams winning against finishing Top 8 teams. This is just to back up my unverified theory that upsets happen at the beginning of the season and at the end of the season.

Part of the cause in 2024 being that Carlton fell in a slump in the last half of the season, but still made the finals while in this 3 week period lost 2 of their last 3 (I only counted their loss against St Kilda), and Collingwood as the people riding the draft picks remember had a late surge to put them near contention but missed the 8 (although only their win against Brisbane counts).

Anyway, I've done the ladder predictor and we play Geelong at home in a qualifying final, so we have to learn how to deal with having two byes before we play a home prelim.

As unprecedented as missing finals with 15 wins would be, it just speaks to how uncompetitively shit the bottom 9 have been this year. Since Round 14 the record of top 9 vs bottom 9 teams is 34-1 and of course the one loss was our loss against Sydney.

If we miss out on finals we would only have ourselves to blame for dropping 4 games to bottom 9 teams.

Due to Hawthorn's win the most likely to drop out are us or the Western Bulldogs.

They will have an incredible percentage but a pretty terrible record against the top 9.
We'll have likely the lowest percentage of the top 9, but still one of the better records against the top 9.

So someone is gonna be quite unlucky - we'd rue those crap losses to the low teams, and they'd rue being unable to win any of the ones against top 9 outside of GWS.

Actually pretty rude to not go back a week and go from round 13 onwards where the record is 34-2.

There's still a not completely outlandish possibility that we win 1 and GWS win 2 and they still miss out. If Saints and Suns feel like showing up GWS are not a complete lock.

The lions could lose their next three without Neale for all we know. They have Sydney, us and the hawks. That could out them 9th
Howe is out for 2 more weeks now and Moore is massively exposed without him. The Pies might not win a game from here and drop 10% to drop out on 15 wins.

They don’t look good. A re-energised dees could definitely be in with a shot in the last round

They only beat them by 1 point last time when they were flying. Daicos will get tagged hard & Kosi will go nuts in front of a big crowd.
Daicos must be playing sore or something. He’s not quite right. They’re stuffed all over. Forwards, backs and their vaunted mids lost to the one-dimensional hawks
