Ooh, I have a fun story that I forgot to tell you guys.

Went to a birthday lunch for my girlfriend with her family on Sunday. There were 11 of them there, all Crows supporters. To a man, every one of them blamed the umpires and solely the umpires for their loss. My favourite comment was the one who claimed that 'the goal Buddy got for that free against Rutten cost us the game', despite the fact that Buddy kicked a point from that free kick (unlike Jason Porplyzia's goal from a similar retaliation free kick at a crucial stage in the fourth quarter).

You know, Rowe and Cornes were still banging on incessantly about this last night. THURSDAY! Approaching a week after the game. They simply will not stop. They've not made mention of the Porplyzia either. It's a non-factor to them. They've gone through every decision that they feel wrongfully penalised the Crows with a fine tooth comb and have not done the same for Hawthorn.

And why was Franklin penalised for that bump on Dangerfield near the boundary line? It was perhaps marginally late, and Clangerfield had already put the ball 20 rows into the stand without Buddy's assistance anyway.

FIFA 98/World Cup 98 was ridiculosly good. I remember playing a career co-op with my mate after school as Arsenal, over many months. Man we were cool.

Repeatedly slide tackling the keeper was also good.

The gameplay, ball and individual player physics (centrehalves were generally slow and cumbersome, a guy like Craig Bellamy was agile and quick as ****) were so next-gen as opposed to FIFA's usual tethered dribbling, scripted goals, Matrix physics and negligible difference between players (dribbling the length of the field to score with guys like Tomas Repka and Tony Popovic, yeah...) and Master League mode led to the most immersive fun I've ever had while playing a game of any genre.

I had every entry in the Pro Evo series from 4-2011.

My mates and I used to do fantasy draft and play with those teams against each other in epic tournaments.

FIFAis12 terrific but I've never had as much fun with it as I did with PES
