Ive spent the morning designing an 18 hole mini golf course around the office.

The extra interest in soccer that the A league generates should start paying dividends over the next decade or so with more kids playing the sport.

That will be totally wasted ofcourse if the best kids don't go to Europe at a young age. At the moment we are suffering because too many players that might have played in European leagues pre-A league can make a living at home.

IMO the US has the same issue with the MLS. Not enough good American kids make it to Europe because they simply don't have to to be financially secure.

Appreciating you're a tweeny (relative to my age), you would have never driven a proper car like an original Monaro, or the slightly warmed HQ or Torana - or perhaps even a Ford GTHO - or heaven forbid a Valiant AP5 with Uniroyal (bike) tyres.

I stress, driven, rather than simply sitting in the driver's seat and hanging onto the steering wheel.

Luved the great days of motor sport.

Those were the days when cars were cars and not plastic shells filled with gimicks eg sat nav..............how ****** hard is it to read a street directory rather than some electronic gimmick that takes you miles (oops kms) out of your way

Be cautious and keep a good eye on it. Both adults I have known who have had them removed have wound up back in hospitals with infections.

I'm also a tweeny, but unfortunately for tweenies, we were never old enough or lived in an era where we earned enough money to piss away tanks of fuel (by the time I was in my first full time job, petrol was >$1.25/litre).

That's why I've always loved my 'mini-muscle' cars. Datsun 1600 sss/240/260z, TA22/RA23/RA28 Celicas, early generation Ford Escorts and the Holden/Isuzu Geminis.

But back on topic...

Got my tonsils out when I was 8 years old. I wasn't happy to be in hospital, and one kind nurse did a hand stand to brighten up my spirits. I was too young to appreciate it the same way someone older would.

Maybe ask one of your nurses to do the same thing.
