Not unique, but how come, from all available first hand reports, many other places in the top echelon of consumption, can handle it better than us?
Weird metaphor. If you want a better metaphor about this sort of availabilty increase, its the difference in Port Adelaide support after moving from the SANFL (restricted and localised to certain areas) to the AFL (broader high-profile consumption).I think you're absolutely kidding yourself. It's akin to all the people who were going to come out of the woodwork to follow the Southern Power if we'd ever been forcibly rebranded. I don't believe at all that these people exist in a significant number.

The other issue here is that from a social perspective, lots of people who used to binge drink switching over to the likes of cannabis and MDMA would probably make Hindley Street on a Saturday night a lot safer and less volatile.

Crime increases, increased use by kids, lots of stats that make a lie of what you're saying
But didn't you just say anyone who wants those things is already on them? So there won't be a drastic change?

My brother in law is a builder/renovator, I was having some work done on my house by him and I caught him smoking weed in his car during the working day.
Sacked him.![]()
Good job. Would've done the exact same if it were alcohol as well I imagine?
Can you link one then please?Yeah, that's not an impartial report
Its quite possible to overdose or have a bad reaction even on quality party drugs. If you don't hydrate, you can be stuffed - water is legal, why does this ever happen? Its because its not like people are suddenly going to treat how they take drugs more safely if they're chemist-controlled medications, is it.
Which leads me to another point, I don't understand why people who want to take potentially dangerous substances don't go to any length to find out what is in what they are taking. There are numerous testing products and testing websites that allow people that want to go down the path of taking things like ecstasy to be well informed and confident in what they are taking, without risking death by doing so.
He hit the cans dead on the end of the day. My fridge was stacked with beer which I strongly suspect was purchased on his business card and charged to me.
He's a total campaigner.
Oh yeah definitely there would be dodgy as shit alcoholJust a random thought but if alcohol were still illegal today wouldn't it be just as bad as some illicit drugs out there today? Without the knowledge and safer regulation there would still be 'backyard makers' not knowing how strong and deadly they're making their booze?
