They'd have to lose to both GWS and Port and we'd have to win our last two to finish top 4. I feel it's quite unlikely.

Just need to win today and hope GWS lose, then we go in to next weekend with a free hit at how high we can finish depending on our result against Brisbane.

Adelaide, geelong and Gold Coast are pretty much locks for top 4, we win both and there’s a pretty good chance we finish 4th. We jump brisbane, just need to make up ~3% to jump the pies

It wouldn't matter if even Freo did close the % gap partly by winning, because then we make it at the expense of Dogs. For us to not make it now, we need to lose to Brisbane by a large enough margin that Bulldogs can beat Freo, and Freo still manage to pass us on percentage after a massive loss to Brisbane. In other words, we are pretty much in now.

I reckon the boys knew it too, very subdued celebrations post match. Now is not the time to put the cue in the rack late in a game when everything is so close with teams around you. It certainly felt like that watching from the ground. Don't just be happy to make it, be emphatic while doing it. Footy is mental as well as physical

Yep, calls to not worry about percentage are nonsensical. It can cost you a top 4 position, or a home final, and thus a grand final and flag.

This is why you don't concede 3 late goals when it's so tight. Take percentage out of the equation. They lose and stay ahead of us. Let this be a lesson in future. I'll probably end up with egg on my face when we beat Brisbane but alot has to go right for us to get top 4 now.
