cinematic movie remakes, I like the original Ben Her, Planet Of The Apes , Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho .
Just wonder why they find they have to remake them.

Like the atrocious Willy Wonka remake, you're never going to top the original Gene Wilder version so why bother remaking it?

A lack of original ideas and money are the main reasons there are so many remakes and sequels.

or movies being made into TV shows.Uncle Buck died a quick death this year in the USA.

The reason they remake them is they've run out of ideas so think they can succeed by just remaking old movies into the modern era.
As Plugger said, the Willy Wonka remake is shithouse.Thank goodness Blazing Saddles can never be remade.

God, imagine someone trying to make that today. Or Life of Brian.

The people paying for movies are not willing to accept any risk at all, so all that gets backed is yet another Marvel comic or a remake of something that worked before so it must be gonna work again now.

We need to find a new Warren Purso who can continue to screen the madcap adventures of the 'Purple' family and other Australian winners!!

Well Life of Brian nearly didn't get made, it was only when George Harrison stumped up the cash to fund it that it went ahead and thank god for that.

Trying to explain to foreigners how Aussie Rules works in the simplest of ways.

In person at a game live here? Or without pictures/your GF videos nadda nothing.

I know I've tried to explain Aussie Rules to ppl overseas with some salt and pepper shakers and tracing an outline of the ground on the table.

Yeah it doesnt work. It never does. :$

Disguising a gripe as a published article. Online journalism right there.

Not to mention taking something private into the public realm so you can feel in the right.

I don't often visit news.com.au but when I do I'm usually pretty surprised by how far down the slope they've actually gone.

Some of the younger male generation wondering around the off limits sections of the underground rail loop in Melbourne. Think they are referred to as the Cave clan or whatever they are nowadays.

Thought I'd post this here. We had this discussion at work today- is it play on to sleep with your step sister and vice versa?
