Part 6 is over there:

Had today off due to having over a day's worth of time in lieu.

Got both lawns looking done and they are looking bloody beaut.
Did my lawns yesterday and I think they are the best lawns I’ve had in my 20 plus years of having lawns. The 20mm of rain midweek was perfecto. Even just stood and admired the lawn for a minute or two.

Went to the service station to pump my dodgy tire and get petrol.

A lady and I waiting to be let in.
She goes why can't we go in , I say prob a security risk.
She's like hurry the fuu up.
We finally get let in ..I say thanks but I'll can probably get in jail faster than getting in here , as the cops a having a 😂 laugh.
The lady ( used to be police) goes over and said why you guys not on out on the streets .
Sitting down eating donuts 🍩 and drinking coffee 😁 😂 instead.
Cop goes this is patrol.

I had a bit of laugh.

Had my right eye done yesterday. Got up this morning. Took the bandage off and put my glasses on. However my vision was very blurry. Covered my left eye and it was my right eye that was blurry. I panicked a bit, thinking that they've ****ed up. Took my glasses off and covered my left eye again. This time I could see perfectly, Goodbye glasses!

Left eye tomorrow.

Because I traveled on my own they had to give me a local rather than a general so I was conscious of them doing it. All the swirling lights made it seem like a psychedelic dream.

Work Christmas party on weekend. Rare night out with my girlfriend without kids around. Was put up in a hotel downtown, we got ourselves looking fancy, had a few drinks and had fun dancing. Got given $500 and won a couple of bottles of wine. Had a great time.

Why am I picturing the boat scene from Willy Wonka?

That's what it was like.

There's no earthly way of knowing
Which direction they are going.

It's nerve wracking watching your kids perform or play sport for sure, good stuff.

I've got my son's piano concert tonight, I get so nervous for him, he doesn't seem to GAF.
I was definitely more nervous than the boys were. I also cried like a baby when they were on stage, I didn't expect to be so emotional about it!

Chookas to your son for tonight!

We’ve got over 500 critically endangered wattles to germinate at work . Love knowing that we are keeping a species alive in our area.

Pretty hot today drove 6 hours.
Then jumped in the pool to cool down.
Will head to parkes tomorrow.

And best of all, having sorted out my network issues - and having had a cleaner in this week - I made an investment in my own laziness (/time/peace of mind) and bought a robot vacuum on an incredible Black Friday deal. It has a camera so it maps everything and doesn't bump into shit, you can fill the water tank and have a "mop mode", and it's self-emptying. Best gadget I've bought in ages! Nothing worse than buying a vacuum cleaner, spending hundreds of dollars on something that you'll always hate using, and it forever looking like clutter cos my apartment has nowhere to store a vacuum cleaner.
Bought one early this year, it’s changed our lives. We only got a basic one and will probably upgrade at some stage but still very happy with it.

What brand and model have you two got? Ive been contemplating getting one

Please!

We had one (years ago when they first appeared, I'm sure they've improved since then) - and found it couldn't navigate it's way out of one of the bedrooms, kept getting stuck under pantry door in the kitchen and even scratch the skirting boards along the hallway. Even what it did manage to clean wasn't great.

Eventually it obviously had enough as it launched itself off the top of the stairs. We never bothered to replace it.

Mine is an Ecovacs. You do have to read the instructions and make sure there are no obstacles, such as shoes left lying about, and clear away any rugs or mats with a fringe. We usually lift up an occasional table and footstool and make sure it can fit between furniture items etc. Clearly it won't fit under certain objects, eg our bed which has a base. And you would have to block off stairs of course.

It's incredible the amount of dust it gathers.

My AgedCare helper does a great job of vacuuming my place once a week. She even cleans the bathroom and mops the kitchen floor. She is so versatile that she's driving me to a specialist appointment at St Vincent's tomorrow. I want to see something from Amazon do that! And I dont even pay for her![emoji3]
