I look back now and I think it probably had more impact on my values and my politics than any other film, tv show or piece of music. It's also why I think we often underestimate children and their capacity to understand things.

Where are you watching it? I was going to check iView this week, I think they often put it up to coincide with mardi gras.

It was a weird time for me it came out but I f***ing love Priscilla. Watching it for the first time in a couple of years.

I’m from WA so we don’t have the little platypus

We travelled through Tassie for about 6 weeks in 2010 and i was obsessed at trying to see one
Was getting up at dawn. Going to very remote spots .
Saw 3-4 from memory but they seem very rare

They are so cute .
I'm in suburban Melbourne and occasionally you hear of them in the river near by
 
Had a kangaroo at my parents house on Xmas morning one time. I of course missed it
No shortage of Roos where I live
Hundreds of them

The ones with white face markings are cool
They look like aboriginal face paint when they have a corroborree

Up at my schools country house there was one on the property. I wandered down (not far I'm not dumb those things can be dangerous) to see it, was legit 50M away from it.

It starts panicking and headbutting the fence to go thru it.

Seeing them in the wild instead of in a zoo or sanctuary is so different. It makes them more real, or something. Also a great teaching and learning opportunity.

We took our grandson to the beach and while we were in the water a dolphin surfaced quite close nearby. He talked of nothing else for ages.
