Had surgery yesterday.

Was talking to the surgical team about my allergy to chicken.

Blinked.

Woke up in post-op, fresh as a daisy.
Spewing though, as I had a late operation and just missed the dinner cut off, the menu was like a 5 star hotel, so made sure to get my moneys worth at breakfast!

that's something you don't hear about hospital food.

My Mum and Mrs R dad both spend Christmas in hospital (different ones).
The food looked pretty bad Mrs R dad Christmas pudding was rock hard.

But sounds like you on the mend.

I got upgraded from 100/25 to 500/50 also. ISP sent me an email saying everything will work but my mode is not capable of achieving the full speeds of the upgrade. Clicked on the button saying 'send me a modem' and the response is 'thanks, we will send it you ASAP'.

That's it. No change to plan, to requirement to Zach Merrett myself into a long term contract I don't want, no 20 questions and needing to remember which password the account has. Maybe TPG can run MyGov.

It seems a bit strange that Canada is so strong in women's rugby when they aren't that strong in men's rugby in comparison.

Mind you the USA are a lot stronger in women's football than in men's football, their women's team has won four World Cups.

Quite a few people sent in texts saying that their mums used do a lot more ironing than they do now which is the same for me.

Then someone sent in a text saying Meryl Streep is an avid ironer that loves ironing, the joke went over the host's head though.

The host said that she was quite surprised that Meryl Streep loves ironing, as if Meryl couldn't afford to pay for an ironing lady.

You have to request a upgrade to fibre. Fibre should be available to all areas now except areas with satellite only.

I do the ironing in our household, I have great iron that can automatically sense the fabric I’m ironing and adjust the settings for each garment which would have been really handy when I burnt a hole in my daughters $800 formal dress.

His political opinions encouraged violence and death against gay and trans people and rampant racism against African-Americans and Anti-Semitism.

His views were hate filled and dangerous, i find it nauseating that so many of mourners think he is some kind of Beacon of Light for Jesus Christianity.

His rhetoric was just as dangerous as an Islamic Fundamentalist who talks about imposing Sharia Law etc.

I do have compassion and sympathy for his wife and young children though.

Well said mate. His family is all i could think of as a father. He was batshit crazy but the way it was dealt with wasn't anywhere near acceptable. Seeing it made me physically sick. The irony is id never even heard of the campaigner until last week and im sure now a lot of weirdos will be looking to avenge this in some left v right political tit of tat over there. Scary times

I'd never heard of the guy until the South Park episode a few weeks back. Can't say I agree with him on much from the few short clips I've seen but I respect the fact he went on Bill Maher's podcast and said that while he is a teetotalling Christian that Maher (a card carrying atheist) is free to get as drunk as he likes while they chat. That's what freederm 'murica used to be about. The reaction since his death has been pretty gross but I am not surprised.
